Relationship with Finance I
Topic: Money Matter

For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows. (I Timothy 6:10 KJV)

Have we noticed that many people are in bankrupt more than ever? Let’s look on the recent entertainment news on Britney Spear or Robby Ray. They began their careers good from start, but as they got into more fame and fortune, their individual life began to fall apart.

How do we handle our finance in right way?

I’m not going to say that give our money to televangelists or any media. Many preachers teach us if we give our money to ministries, God will bless us with hundredfold. This may be trued, but God will not only bless us with money. Instead, He will bless us in every part of our lives.

God doesn’t need our money every week, but He wants us to make time for Him. He wants to talk to us and spend His quality time with us. We sometimes make our schedules as busy for ourselves and then there is no time for God to intervene with us. Sadly, many ministries are making more money than ever rather than building a kingdom for God. Ministering through media technologies or building bigger churches would be great, but they would become useless without the eternal purpose for the ministries.

Here are some suggestions to use your money and time wisely:

  • Tithe your money to your local church rather than give your money to several other churches.
  • Give your time to God each day before beginning and ending of your day.
  • Interact with your people outside the church.
  • Encourage and help other people.
  • Find at least one stable job.
  • Do not rely on your credit cards to meet your bills.
  • Pay your bills promptly.
  • Spend time with your family each day.

God wants us to focus on everything in our lives rather than just for money. But He also wants us to focus on Him everything we are doing. We lost a great passion to have quality time with God. What are we going to do about it?

The Message of Love
Topic: Love

For this is the message that ye heard from the beginning, that we should love one another. (I John 3:11 KJV)

February 14 is a day of love, which is called Valentine’s Day. Even though this holiday arrived from the pagan religion and has the immorality religious practice behind it, we should love one another as God loves us.

John explained that how Cain hated his young brother and committed the first murder of the history, which is recorded in Genesis 4. Cain killed Abel because he was jealous his brother that God accepted Abel’s gift and not his. I believe that this is ongoing event throughout our generation. One of my coworkers found information about our health on stress; and one of statements said that we are getting more separation from each other—health, family, friends, and etc. Let’s look at the divorce rate in America (http://www.divorcemag.com/statistics/statsUS.shtml):

  • There were approximately 2,230,000 marriages in 2005 -- down from 2,279,000 the previous year, despite a total population increase of 2.9 million over the same period.
  • The divorce rate in 2005 (per 1,000 people) was 3.6 -- the lowest rate since 1970, and down from 4.2 in 2000 and from 4.7 in 1990. (The peak was at 5.3 in 1981, according to the Associated Press.)
  • The marriage rate in 2005 (per 1,000) was 7.5, down from 7.8 the previous year.
  • In 2004, the state with the highest reported divorce rate was Nevada , at 6.4 (per 1,000). Arkansas was a close second, with a divorce rate of 6.3, followed by Wyoming at 5.3. The District of Columbia had the lowest reported divorce rate, at 1.7, followed by Massachusetts at 2.2 and Pennsylvania at 2.5. (Figures were not complete for California , Georgia , Hawaii , Indiana , Louisiana , or Oklahoma .)
  • 8.1% of coupled households consist of unmarried heterosexual partners, according to The State of Our Unions 2005, a report issued by the National Marriage Project at Rutgers University . The same study said that only 63% of American children grow up with both biological parents -- the lowest figure in the Western world.
  • As of 2003, 43.7% of custodial mothers and 56.2% of custodial fathers were either separated or divorced. And in 2002, 7.8 million Americans paid about $40 billion in child and/or spousal support (84% of the payers were male).
  • Americans tend to get married more between June and October than during the rest of the year. In 2005, August had the most marriages at about 235,000 or a rate of 9.3 per 1,000 people. The previous year, July was the highest month at 246,000, or a rate of 9.9; this doubled the lowest month in 2004, January.

If we see our media news, many young people are killed because of their parents’ separations and many teens’ decisions are resulted as thumb down.

God doesn’t want to see the separation from each other. We should love each other. This year is very critical for the United States of America . The people have the choice who should be the next president for the next four years. Even though our nation is like a two-side coin, God wants us to involve in our political events. Our votes are depending on how our nation would be—love for following God’s way or Satan.

We should not let unborn children die without enjoying their lives and without knowing who their Creator is. God just didn’t create us for His global plan. He wants to have intimate relationship with us. He wants to love us as His own. If we let our young people to suffer, then our love for God has no eternal value. It’s ashamed for us to hear that the most divorce rates come from within churches.

God constituted the marriage and He hates divorce.

Sing Unto the Lord
Topic: Living Life

Sing unto the LORD, O ye saints of his, and give thanks at the remembrance of his holiness. (Psalm 30:4 KJV)

When you are distressed, what would you like to do to release your distress? There are several ways to release the distress of our lives and the most of them are negative. The world teaches us having drink or listen to the feeling music (such as hip-pop, rock, jazz, soul, etc.) is the way of escape from distress. The world method of releasing distress may last for while, but it doesn’t satisfy our spirits.

Jesus said that let not our hearts be troubled (John 14:1). He wants us to be calmed down as we are living in this world. I understand that this world is corrupted by sins and it is not easy for us to have peace in our lives.

Singing a song to the Lord is another way to get relaxes our souls, but we also connect to our Heavenly Father. David sang a song to the Lord because he had a relationship with Him. Having a relationship with God is the key to releasing distress in our lives. Paul said in Philippians 4:6, “Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.” And Peter also said, “Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you (I Peter 5:7).”

Why not start your day with praising the Lord with the spiritual song. Crank the worship music up and begin to remember what God has done in your life.

Which Fruit are You Representing?
Topic: Living Life

Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. (Galatians 5:19-25 KJV)

Which fruit are you? Are you a bad or good fruit? There is one of two types of fruit of character in each of us and it is up to us to pick which ones. One type of fruits is represented the world and another is represented God.

As Psalm 1 says that there are two ways to live a life, we have two choices of which way to live rest of our lives and beyond. In Galatians 5:19-25, Paul listed 25 fruit of characters under two categories—17 fruits of the flesh and 9 fruits of the Holy Spirit. Why did Paul name only nine fruits of the Holy Spirit than of the flesh? Does this mean that we all are going to Hell? No! Does this mean that Satan is powerful than God? No! The number of fruits of the Holy Spirit that Paul named doesn’t matter, except how we use it wisely.

Let’s begin with the fruits of flesh (Galatians 5:19-21). The fruits of flesh are the most popular we see and hear about today’s news. Some churches are following in this kind of fruit of character. There are some homosexual preachers who lead God’s people into the judgment of God and lead them into Hell. There are some prosperity preachers who lead God’s people how they become rich quicker. In fact, there is some Christian teen bible versions that teach the people can have sex outside the marriage are okay.

We are on the last day before Jesus would return within 10, 50, 100, or 1000 years from now. We are closer to the last day than before. Look in our entertainment industries and see what children are learning. They are learning witchcraft, violent, sex, adult language, and fantasy. Today’s adults are becoming more active in night outings, night clubs, and joining gangsters. As we see, we are in the day of Sodom and Gomorrah .

Paul said in II Timothy 1:7, “For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.” God has not given us the spirit of flesh that pleases the world. He has given us the Holy Spirit that we can produce the love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, and temperance in us.

Even though this world will vanish away, the Words of God will last forever (I John 2:17). We can have $1,000,000 home in our lifetime, but we cannot take it with us when we would die. For eternity, we either can go to be with God and bless with eternal treasure or to be with Satan and be miserable forever.

Do you know who you are in Jesus Christ? Do you have personal relationship with Him? If not, it is not too late to establish your personal relationship with Him. God doesn’t want to punish us and send us to Hell. But He wants us to take us His Home and be with us forever. If you want Jesus Christ, please consider to invite Him into your life.

Who Are You in Christ?
Topic: Living Life

But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. (John 1:12-13 KJV)

Many religious people asked themselves these questions: 1) Where did I come from? 2) How did I arrive here? and 3) Where do I belong? These or more questions are the most people are looking for answers to their lives.

Let me ask a question. Do you know who you are? If you are a child of Satan, your life will become short. There is no life value if you are a child of this world or Satan. Many people in Hollywood have become famous to the world, but there is no eternal life value behind the worldly fame. First John 1:15-16 says, “Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.”

But if you are a child of God, there is eternal value to your life. Apostle Paul says in Romans 6:23, “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” Jesus said that there will be few people enter to eternal life (see Matthew 7:13-14). We already know that we are living on the last generation before the second coming of Jesus Christ. And it is not easy for us to live in this world for Christ. But if we are standing strong to live for Him, there is no fear when the devils would attack us and make us to worship him.

Receiving the gift of salvation is like the citizenship card. But there will be no effect to us if we hold the gift. We have to use our gifts to activate effectively. If you want to be a child of God, then you begin to exercise with those gifts that God gave you.

Journey with God
Topic: New Year

Rise ye up, take your journey, and pass over the river Arnon: behold, I have given into thine hand Sihon the Amorite, king of Heshbon, and his land: begin to possess it, and contend with him in battle. This day will I begin to put the dread of thee and the fear of thee upon the nations that are under the whole heaven, who shall hear report of thee, and shall tremble, and be in anguish because of thee. (Deuteronomy 2:24-25 KJV)

How was your life journey in 2007? Did you have a successful journey? Or was your journey a hard? Even though my journey was hard ones in 2007, I had a great adventure of living my life for Jesus Christ.

The number seven is the completion. Even though the last year was the year of completion, it does not mean that God has finish with us yet. He still has a greater plan for us than what He gave us in 2007. Hebrews 11:40 says, “God having provided some better thing for us, that they without us should not be made perfect.” Do you want to receive something better than what you already received? If you want something better, then you begin to take new journey with God.

The number eight means the new beginning. We need to begin something new and refresh ourselves to continue what we have been doing. We need to refresh our spirits with the Words of God to keep connect with Him daily. We need our spiritual food to strength our spirits in Christ, just as newborn babes need milk to grow his life (cf. I Peter 2:1).

If you completed your life journey in 2007, then consider to take another new life journey with God. Even though this year life journey would have many challenges for us to face, God can take us through the obstacles to reach the prizes. Paul said in I Corinthians 9:24-26, “Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain. And every man that striveth for the mastery is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a corruptible crown; but we an incorruptible. I therefore so run, not as uncertainly; so fight I, not as one that beateth the air…”

Heart Surgery
Topic: Love

A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh. (Ezekiel 36:26 KJV)

Jesus said to the church of the Laodiceans, “I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot (Revelation 3:15).” Is your relationship with God alike the church of the Laodiceans?

God hates to see our lukewarm relationship with Him and people. Because having a lukewarm relationship is like if we are either God’s side or Satan’s and we would be stuck in between which way to the paradise. God will choose our decision if we are in lukewarm relationship and we would end up in hell. Hell is the last place where God doesn’t want to ser us to go for eternity.

Unfortunately, God is willing to give us a new heart—a heart of flesh. The word heart in this verse means mind. Our hearts cannot operate by itself, except our minds. Romans 12:2 says, “And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.”

Why not we can have a stony heart? If we don’t like let the Holy Spirit works in us, there is no way God can have relationship with us. There are many churches that are in lukewarm relationship with God and ended up with a stony heart. It is so sad to see the churches fall into the devil’s hands. I had been into Roman Catholic and United Methodist churches and didn’t feel the presence of the Holy Spirit. Even though they proclaimed to be the churches of Jesus Christ, we cannot keep the other religious rituals come into the churches.

God doesn’t care abut our religious duties or what denominational churches we attend. No! He only cares about us and His relationship with us.

Holiday or Sabbath Day

Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work: But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates: For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it. (Exodus 20:8-11 KJV)

In Fourth Commandment, we read that we need to remember or observe the sabbath day. This means that we need to take a break from our busy schedules and spend our times with God. In the days of Moses, sabbath means anyone cannot work on the last day of the week. It also applies to us today.

Many Christians may dislike the idea to put the words “Happy Holiday” to replace with “Merry Christmas.” The word holiday means “holy day.” God created holidays for us to have quality times with Him. If we trace the major Christian holidays, such as Christmas and Easter, we will find the Babylonian religion tradition of holidays.

Sabbath is made for men to rest with God and not with the world. Even though we can enjoy the Christmas season with our family and friends, let us to remind ourselves that putting God first in this holiday season and rest with Him and enjoy the holiday season with our people. If God didn’t make sabbath or holidays, just think about health issues, but mostly our quality times with our Heavenly Father. It would be distressing if we can’t build our relationship with Him and people daily.

It is sad for us to see that many people cannot have enough to rest. We see many stores and businesses are opened on Saturdays. Many students are not getting enough to sleep before their classes would begin. Or many families don’t have a day to spend their times each other on the dinner table. Nowadays, many students don’t come home until 5 or 6 in the evening. We see that this generation is breaking apart from each other. It’s all about me rather than about us.

Even though schools and churches are good place for students to educate, they are not places for them to call home and stay there most of their times. God doesn’t want us to live in this world forever, but He wants to take us to His Home, where He can spend quality time with us everyday.

Greater Relationship
Topic: Holiday

Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. (John 15:13 KJV)

What greatest gift have you ever given to your spouse or friend? Or what greatest gift have you ever received from your spouse or friend? If it is love for self-pressured, then your love for that person would have deadline. Your love would become useless. It is sad thing for me to hear that the American churches are more into selling themselves to the world as greatest evangelists rather than working as God’s servants for His lost people.

Even though I’m not against the works of evangelism, there are many preachers out in other countries for fame, power, and wealth. As we see today, many people have learned that giving money to the television ministries are the ways to receive their gift of blessings from God. The works of ministries are not about getting fortune, but they are about reaching the lost souls to Jesus Christ. Put away our own desire moment and start thinking how to bless other people in our communities with using God-given talents and skills. Apostle Paul said in Philippians 2:4, “Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others.”

The greatest gift that we ever received from God was the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ for our sins. Jesus didn’t say in John 15:13 to glorify Himself. No! He tried to teach His disciples about the value of friendship. Proverbs 17:10 says, “A friend loveth at all times, and a brother is born for adversity.”

Jesus did the only thing for us that no other gods can do. “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us (Romans 5:8).” Allah, Krishna , Buddha, or Virgin Mary didn’t die for our sins. Even though God let Virgin Mary to be the mother of His Son, Jesus, she lived as we are living. She didn’t have any special divine power or wasn’t sinless. But God choose her to bring forth His Son to the world.

If we read Luke 1-2, the angels of God didn’t start to appear to rich people to bring the announcement to the world, but to the shepherds. Even though God loves and cares for everybody, He especially is looking for unfortunate people in spirits.

No Other Gods
Topic: Holiday

Thou shalt have no other gods before me. Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth: Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me… (Exodus 20:3-5 KJV)

The first Ten Commandments are basic structure of relationship with God and humanity. But if we look at the first three, we notice that we should have no other gods, except Him, to worship. To have relationship with Him, we need to throw our gods away and falling unto His knees.

Now it’s almost to Christmas (Christ’s Mass) time of the year. We often time busy ourselves to ready for the holiday. In this time of the year, we sometime forget to give honor and glory to our Lord Jesus Christ.

To have relationship with Jesus Christ, we’d need to have right mindset of relationship with God. The Ten Commandments are telling us how much God wants to love and take care of us, rather than laying down some restriction laws for us to follow.

What other gods we have to displease our God? John tells us in I John 2:15-16, “Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.” One of examples that God displeases is if we’d decide to display the Christmas tree in our homes. This reference came from Jeremiah 10, when God’s people followed the ritual traditions of Babylon when they were in captivity.

In Exodus 34:14 told us, “For thou shalt worship no other god: for the LORD, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God…” Jesus told us in Matthew 6:24, “No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.”

Do you have relationship with God? Or is money or things in the world considered as gods? We can have Islamic faiths, but we cannot have lovely relationship with Allah. Instead, we have to do the religious duties, such as pray five times a day and learn to be enemies to Jews and Christians, to reach our relationship with Allah. Unfortunately, God of Abraham, Isaac, and Israel doesn’t require these religious rituals from us. Instead, God brought down His Son, Jesus, to be sacrificial offering for our sins by dying on the Cross. But Jesus resurrected on the third day to live in us.

Give Thinks to Our Creator
Topic: Thanksgiving

That I may publish with the voice of thanksgiving, and tell of all thy wondrous works. (Psalm 26:7 KJV)

In Open Bible says, “Todah is a noun, translated ‘thanksgiving,’ derived from the verb yadah, meaning ‘thank.’ In some instances praise was given to the Lord by acknowledging and abandoning sin. This is seen in the story of Achan, when Joshua urges him to ‘give glory to the Lord God of Israel , and make confession to Him’ (Josh. 7:19). Most often, however, thanksgiving is given to God in songs of liturgical worship. Examples of places where this specific term is used include Ps. 26:7, Ps. 42:4, 5, and Jon. 2:10. Sometimes thanksgiving is expressed by a choir and procession, such as the one described in Neh. 12:31. There is also thanksgiving given with the thank offering in Lev. 7:12 and Amos 4:5. (Strong’s #8426)”

What do you thanks for this Thanksgiving? Many of us may believe that Thanksgiving means to celebrate the harvest that happened in four century ago in the United States . Even though this may correct historical tradition in our country, thanksgiving originally began all the way back to Genesis. Noah, for example, gave a thank to God by giving Him a burnt offering after him and his family were freed from the ark.

Thanksgiving doesn’t have to be in specific date or making a delicious family dinner, because it’s all about relationship with God and people. There are no greater gifts we could receive than our connection with God and our people daily.

What do you thank for? Is your healing from God? Is your job promotion from your boss? Is your new car from the car dealership? Whatever we want to thank for, we must first give thank and honor to our Heavenly Father. There is no one who can better understand each of us, except God. Jeremiah 1:5 tells us, “Before I (God) formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.”

We then give thank to our people. There is right time to give thank to our people first, but this also goes to God also.

Requirement of Abiding Love
Topic: Love

If ye love me, keep my commandments. (John 14:15 KJV)

Paul wrote the love chapter in I Corinthians 13 and it gives us what is love. He said in verses 4-8, “Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up, Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil; Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth; Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things. Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away.”

If we want to have relationship with someone, we must understand that the love is infinite that we can receive more. But there is a requirement to receive love from someone. We cannot just be fallen in love. That is the world method of understanding love.

In John 14:15, Jesus said that if we love Him, then we must not reject any of His commandments. We must follow His laws in order to have relationship with Him. If not, we are indicated that we don’t love Him. There must to have boundary for us to love Jesus with all our hearts. For example, when God tested Abraham’s faith, he didn’t fall in love with Him first. Abraham must trust God if His words would come to pass before he would reach the friendship level of relationship.

God doesn’t us to memorize and follow all the laws in the Bible perfectly. But we must do as best we can. The marriage of relationship doesn’t come in a week. The husband and wife must learn to care for each other before they would come to agreement to be united as one body.

Paul told us that we are the temple of the Holy Spirit (I Corinthians 6:19). We do not own our physical bodies, not even before we were saved by the grace of God through Jesus Christ. Before we became citizens of God’s Kingdom, Satan owned our bodies. In other words, we were the citizens of Satan’s kingdom. We became sinners and not as the children of righteousness. But thank God, we are saved through the blood of Jesus Christ and we can escape from the darkness and go to the light of Gospel.

Although many of us want to love God, we may have difficult time to follow His commandments. Why is that? The answer: We may don’t feel like to take action for Him. This is a wrong mindset of any kind of relationship. We must make move with God or people to build our relationships. We are the temple of the Holy Spirit and must build strong foundation for God to live in us.

The laws of God only do one thing—show us we are guilty of committing sins and tell us that we need to repent. For us to love God, we must abide His laws.

Choose This Day
Topic: Discipline

Now therefore fear the LORD, and serve him in sincerity and in truth: and put away the gods which your fathers served on the other side of the flood, and in Egypt ; and serve ye the LORD. And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD. (Joshua 24:14-15 KJV)

Recently, one of television evangelists exposed to the worldwide ministries as the one of the false prophets. According to the one of news medias in Texas , Pastors Randy and Paula White decided to file for divorce her marriage with Randy due to their own dream house that worth $1 million.

After I heard this from my pastor and hearing from one of news medias this pass week, I have a question if the both of pastors truly repented and born again in Christ before they decided to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ. To me, they hadn’t really experienced the rebirth in Spirit process. Paul said in I Timothy 4:1, “Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith…” It doesn’t care if the churches are small or big, but how the church leaders lead the people into God.

In the last chapter of Joshua, he questioned his people about whom they serve and have relationship with. Joshua gave the Israelites two choices—God who took out from the bondage of Egyptians or gods who their fathers served. There was no between. The reason Paula White Ministry exposed badly, because the leaders were trying to please both gods—God the Creator and gods in materialism. We cannot have two sides of gods. We have to choose which god should we serve and have relationship with. If you have two partners who you wish to marry with, you have to choose only one and not both.

In Exodus 34:14 told us, “For thou shalt worship no other god: for the LORD, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God…” God has feeling for us. If we would worship Allah (Islamic god), He will be upsetting and trying to get back with us; even if He choose to bring obstacles on our ways. There is no other god who has that feeling.

Which side you are on? We can be like the one of prodigal sons did (Luke 15)—the first son who met all his tasks and be right with his father on the first time and didn’t receive all the glory; or the second son, who realized he was not being right with his father and returned to him to ask him for forgiveness of his sins. It is not too late to receive Jesus Christ. Paul said in Romans 10:9-10, “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.” Choose this day whom you serve throughout the eternality.

Power of Relationship
Topic: Love

And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment. And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these. (Mark 12:30-31 KJV)

There are many different ways to have relationship with someone, but there is the only one way to have intimate relationship with God. Before we’d go deeper meaning of relationship with God, let’s discuss about why the most people have hard time to keep relationships.

In this message series, we will discuss the four types of relationship. First type is the relationship with God. This is the main important to have to get other three types of relationship. Second type is relationship with ourselves. Even though this title may seem to be self-centered message, we must understand that the reason God created relationship is that we need to recognize who we are and why He brought us to the earth. Third type is the relationship with other. And the last ones will be the relationship with finance or material things.

Many today’s messages of relationship are fulfilled with the world ways of having relationship and not on God’s standard. If we read Genesis 2, before God created Eve, we see that Adam was lonely and cannot find any other helper to accomplish his work (v. 20). Just imagine how lonely when you do not have someone to fellowship for a month and you cannot go out of apartment due to your disability. I had been down in this road before and it was not pleasant to get into.

Do we know why many people are failing their relationships on marriage, family, business, finance, church, and etc.? It was not because financial situation, but of their lacks of communication and desire to success to reach their goals quickly. Money and other material things don’t communicate us. People around us are that we can have communication every day at anywhere. The way we communication with other people, it reflects to our families, businesses, churches, finances, and etc.

God didn’t create relationship not because He wanted to overrule us, but He wanted to have fellowship with us each day. He wants to love us and take of care us as His children. We do not hear the message of the Cross relates to relationship anymore. We are here not because we want to take over the earth as some television evangelists put us as “little gods.” We are living in this earth because we have relationship with Someone who created us. That is God, who raised His Son, Jesus Christ, from the dead.

Do you want that relationship? If you do, please consider to surrender your life to Him. Not to me or any other pastors, but give your life to Jesus Christ. He is all you need. The world may tell you thousand ways to be saved from going to Hell, but there is the only one way to get that. That is having relationship with God through Jesus Christ.

What Would Happen if We Worship the Beast and the False Prophet?
Topic: Prophets

And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone. (Revelation 19:20 KJV)

Would you able to answer the question above? The Bible says many things about the hell and fallen angels. But we often don’t hear these topics of discussions in our churches.

In The Mark (Left Behind Series), Tim LaHaye and Jerry Jennkins wrote that if the person received the mark of beast accidentally, he or she can take it off. However, the Bible says that anyone cannot be reversed this process after the person would accept the mark of beast. The mark of beast is like a microchip that it can go in the human skins and it’s un-removable. This also would affect to the spirit of human in some kinds of way.

In Revelation 13:15-18 says, “And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed. And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name. Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six.” The “six hundred threescore and six” is 666.

If we decide to worship and follow the way of this technology economic living, then we would be heading to where the beast wants to go—that is Hell. Even today’s MTV direction is making many people into world fame, wealth, and power, and then they are fallen apart from their families. Do you know why some MTV artists are beginning to show on TBN? Either they are really saved by the grace of God through Jesus Christ and want to proclaim the message of hope, or they are trying to deceive us. We cannot be sure this until we’d read, listen, or watch their media reports.

Even God has His mark for our forehead eternity; it doesn’t mean we can receive the mark from Satan, too. Jesus told us in Matthew 6:24, “No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.”

Which team are you going to take? If you want to know Jesus Christ personally, please invite Him to your life by surrender your life to Him. Paul said in Romans 10:9-10, “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.” Or you maybe have experienced lukewarm relationship with God in the last couple months and want to come back to restore your relationship with Him, God will accept you who you are and reunite with you again if you are willing. There is no this kind of power that Satan has, except God.

Devils are Powerless Angels
Topic: Hell

And the seventy returned again with joy, saying, Lord, even the devils are subject unto us through thy name. And he said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven. Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you. (Luke 10:17-19 KJV)

Have you ever meet devils or demons in your personal life experiences? If not, do you believe that there is an existing of devil anywhere around the earth? Whether or not have seen the existence of demons or devils, we are living in the world with two different views of living a life (Psalms 1)—one with God and another with Satan.

Even though Satan is currently overruling this world since Genesis 3, his power is no match with God, his Master. In the Book of Revelation, God will defeat Satan and his angels. We see that Satan cannot take over Job’s life as long as God gave him the permission to attack His servant with certain parts (Job 1-2).

In the same way, Satan cannot attack on us as long as we are on God’s side. If we are far off from God, we will be in big trouble. The Bible tells us that Satan is the father of lies (John 8:44). He will try to deceive us that could pull ourselves away from our relationship with God. If we love the world than to love God, our relationship with Him would become useless.

In Luke 4:6-8 says, “And the devil said unto him, All this power will I give thee, and the glory of them: for that is delivered unto me; and to whomsoever I will I give it. If thou therefore wilt worship me, all shall be thine. And Jesus answered and said unto him, Get thee behind me, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.”

Satan wants let us to worship him. That is why we see many people are going on their Trick or Treat on the Halloween night. Halloween is the satanic New Year Eve. But Satan and his demonic angels will become powerless when we are on God’s side.

Satan’s Mission
Topic: Hell

And these are they by the way side, where the word is sown; but when they have heard, Satan cometh immediately, and taketh away the word that was sown in their hearts. (Mark 4:15 KJV)

What is the Satan’s mission and how does he relate to the hell? In John 10:10a, Jesus described as a thief to steal, to kill and to murder. In Matthew 4 and Luke 4, he is appeared as a tempter who tried to tempt Jesus in the wilderness. In Genesis 3, we recognize him as a serpent that deceived Eve and Adam by twisting God’s Words.

No matter what God has a plan for humanity, Satan is trying to accomplish his plan by destroying God’s plan for us. As I said in End Time message series last year, Satan is trying to destroy the lands of Israel and United States by using the radical Islam nations. Why U.S.? First, U.S. was founded by the Christianity that arrived from the Jewish root. Secondly, we are helping Jews to protect their nation. Thirdly, we are friends with Jews. These or more that Satan hates.

Even though Satan was the one of God’s messengers first, he decided to be equal with God (see Isaiah 14:12-14). He wanted to receive all the glory for himself. So, we read that God turned the serpent (Satan) to snake with no legs.

Hell is not made for us, but Satan wants us to go there rather than by himself and his angels. I want to be honest about what he is doing with the entertainment industry. Satan is trying to pull us away from our relationship with God through MTV, BET, CMT, VH-1, and MTV JAM. If we study their lyric, we would find many ungodly words and it blasphemy God’s characters.

The mission statement of Satan would be: To bring many people into Hell as possible, so they can have terrible eternal life.

However, we have God who would like us to have eternal joyful life. We don’t need to go Hell, but rather to walk to eternal heavenly place. God created the hell for Satan, demons, and rebellious people. So, where you would be after this life?

The Rich Man and Lazarus (Part II)
Topic: Hell

And beside all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed: so that they which would pass from hence to you cannot; neither can they pass to us, that would come from thence. (Luke 16:26 KJV)

In the previous message, I discussed the first two things about Hell—a place of torment and a place of bringing back to remembrance. We must that Hell is a real place and it’s reality. In Numbers 16, we read that God opened the land to send the Korah’s family into the hell without experiencing death due to their rebellion against God and Moses. However, God did not create the hell for anyone to go in and live there eternality, except Satan and his demonic angels. We have choice to there if we’d decide to reject God and live according to our wills.

As Jesus enclosed the story of the rich man and Lazarus, He said that there is a great gap between Heaven and Hell that no one could cross over. No one can able to free from Hell. I watch a couple TBN Programs that people had a dream that went through Hell and come back to life again. I’m not sure about TBN viewer’s testimonies, because God’s Words said no one would able to escape from Hell once to go in.

“Then he said, I pray thee therefore, father, that thou wouldest send him to my father’s house: For I have five brethren; that he may testify unto them, lest they also come into this place of torment. Abraham saith unto him, They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them. And he said, Nay, father Abraham: but if one went unto them from the dead, they will repent. And he said unto him, If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead.” (Luke 16:27-31.)

Can you feel the rich man’s agony as you read Luke 16:27-31? Jesus said that the hell is an everlasting fireplace (Matthew 25:41). We cannot imagine the great pain of this rich man in Luke 16. If the poor is suffering here on earth while the rich man is enjoying his richest life, then the rich man will be looking for suffering in Hell forever. Jesus will do the opposite with the greedy man who has been ignoring the homeless people.

Even this message may be harsh for us to swallow, but we need this as an alarm for ourselves. This message is not a popular message today, because most today’s preachers have forgotten to grab the true message of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Most of their messages may about why Jesus died and raised from the dead, but it’s not relate to Hell. Jesus didn’t die and raise from the dead was not just for us to receive the gift of salvation, but to save ourselves from going to Hell.

The Rich Man and Lazarus (Part I)
Topic: Hell

And there was a certain beggar named Lazarus, which was laid at his gate, full of sores, And desiring to be fed with the crumbs which fell from the rich man’s table: moreover the dogs came and licked his sores. (Luke 16:20-21 KJV)

In Luke 16:20-.31, Jesus used a story of the rich man and Lazarus to explain what the Hell looks like. He used this parable to make His disciples to understand what is the value in life. When He came to the point of the rich man’s eternal destiny, Jesus gave us some points about a place is called Hell.

First in verse 23, the hell is a place of torment or torture. The hell is a painful place. There is no way for anyone to rest. In his sermon, Bill Wises shared his personal testimony of experiencing of being in Hell. It’s a dark and painful place. Bill said that anybody can have difficult to breathe air and demons will torture the souls days and nights. The rich man also doesn’t have fresh water to cool his tongue (v. 24).

I remember one of children’s education cartoons showed that underneath of the earth is really hot. This temperature could be more than 400 degree. If anybody would dig into the center of the earth, his physical body easily died and his spirit will suffer there eternally.

Secondly, Jesus mentioned that the hell is a place of brings us back into past memory (v. 25). Good or bad, the rich man cannot move on to his future thoughts. He has difficult to erase his bad memory before he became a rich man. Or he cannot erase his memory of Lazarus begged him for food to eat.

Being an earthly rich is nothing more than heading into the trash. There is nothing wrong with having good things in our lives. God can bless us with $1 million house. But when we would begin to focus more earthly things than God, we would become like a rich man who ended his life in Hell.

Are you saved by the grace of God through Jesus Christ? If you are not sure which road that you would take to eternality, please make a right decision today. If you would like to have relationship with Jesus Christ, please surrender your life to Him by asking Him forgiveness for your sins and invite Him to your life.

How to Prevent Us from Going to Hell?
Topic: Hell

And the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed them up, and their houses, and all the men that appertained unto Korah, and all their goods. (Numbers 16:31 KJV)

Numbers 16 is the only Scriptural reference where God sent His disobedience people to the Hell without facing their death physically. This passage is telling us that the Hell is not far from the earth, but it is underneath of the earth. There are some scientific evidences why does the volcano would interrupt at some islands relate to the under world. If you would like to study further about the existence of the Hell under the earth surface, please go to www.av1611.org/hell.html.

God didn’t make Hell for us, but for demonic angels and Satan (see Matthew 25:41). But He would let us to go there freely if we would decide to follow Satan. We must understand that Korah and his people choose the road to Hell, not God.

Jesus predicted there would be more people to go to Hell than to Heaven. We see this process is becoming more reality today. MTV, BET, VH1, and other music channel stations teach our young generations to become more violence characters upon themselves and in their community. Even some today’s Contemporary Christian and Gospel Music are trying to be equal to the secular world. This is why some churches are becoming multimillionaire and spirituality poor.

Although God could perish the humanity during the worldwide flood (Genesis 6-9), He wanted to give us the second chance to repent our sins and become His children forever. Most churches maybe silenced on this hot subject, but it is the most important lesson that we need to educate ourselves. If your church doesn’t carry the Hell teaching, then you may need to look for another church that teaches the full council of the Word of God, including the most difficult subjects, such as Hell.

Let me ask this question: Which road will you be taking to eternity? You can follow the MTV ways and would end yourself a place that you don’t like to be. Or you can accept Jesus Christ as your personal Savior and end yourself to be with Him in His kingdom forever.
