How We Can Make Difference?
Topic: Goal

And of some have compassion, making a difference… (Jude 22 KJV)

I’m not going to ask you how you can make difference in this world? But how you can make difference in your world for Jesus’ name? There are many ways for we can make major change the world system to make better places. We can recycle soda cans and any disposable things for us to use for different things.

Sadly, there are many churches are making difference for the world, not the Gospel of Jesus Christ. It’s like Christians are not hunger and thirst for the truth of God. Apostle Paul declared in I Timothy 4:1-3, “Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron; Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth.” We began to see that North Korea is getting ready to make a war against South Korea and United States. If this would hit at either of country, we would see the first phase of the World War III. We also began to see that our Christian nation is becoming weaker and turn it to the day of Sodom and Gomorrah.

We have two choices to make difference in this world—hunger for the Word of God or hunger for the world system. Our world economic system is not getting better until the Antichrist would come with his system, which it would lead us to eternal death in Hell. However, Jesus Christ died for our sins and resurrected on the third day to establish His relationship with us. One day, He will return to the earth to establish His government with us. In the meantime, we have to do His great commission by sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ to others and making His disciples.

Jesus said in Matthew 28:19-20, “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.”

Why Jesus Goes to Heaven?
Topic: Heaven

Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also. (John 14:1-3 KJV)

Many people believe that they would go to Heaven when they’d take their last breathe on the earth, but they don’t know how they’d be at there. They may not know why Jesus went to Heaven on the first place, but not with us. In this passage of the Scriptures, we’d need to understand why Jesus had the right to enter into the heavenly place before us.

First, He is our Mediator between God and men (I Timothy 2:5). Jesus just didn’t die and resurrected on the third day for our sins. But God wanted to build relationship with us through His Son, Jesus Christ. Of course, God used many prophets to try to speak with His people in past, but “in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds (Hebrews 1:3).”

Second, He wanted to build relationship with us. It’s interesting that there is no word Christianity in the KJV Bible. Why? It’s a man-made word, Christianity. God didn’t bring Jesus to the earth to create another religious system, but to establish a relationship with us. This is why being a Christian is totally different than any other world religion. But, sadly, we made it into several denominational groups over the years and made it as another religion system. We have Baptist groups, who don’t believe in speaking in tongue; Pentecost, who doesn’t believe the right way to use to speak in tongue; Mormonism, who has totally different way to interpret the Scriptures; and more. I John 4:16 tells us that God is love. This doesn’t mean to create denominational churches. Apostle Paul forbids to create churches under somebody’s name (see I Corinthians 3).

God planned to send His Son, Jesus Christ, to us to pay our sins, so we can have free access to God and develop personal relationship with Him. Would you like to have personal relationship with God? If you’d like to know Jesus Christ as your personal Savior, I’d like to encourage you to do two simple things. First, confess your sins and invite Jesus Christ to your life. Paul said in Romans 10:9-11, “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.” There is no sinner prayer formula. Instead, you just talk to God at where you are now. Secondly, I’d like to encourage you to find a good solid biblical teaching church and Christian friends. They can help you to build strong relationship with God.

Brotherly Love
Topic: Love

He saith unto him the third time, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me? Peter was grieved because he said unto him the third time, Lovest thou me? And he said unto him, Lord, thou knowest all things; thou knowest that I love thee. Jesus saith unto him, Feed my sheep. (John 21:17 KJV)

The last love question that Jesus used the Greek word phileo, which it means brotherly love. According to John 21:15-17 Note in KJV Living Bible says, “Each time Peter responded with the word translated into Greek as phileo.” Even though there is nothing wrong the way Peter responded to His question, Jesus wanted to know the condition of Peter’s heart.

We often miss the point the way Jesus asked Peter questions. How would you respond if Jesus ask you “Do you love Me?” repeatedly? You would probably be frustrated with Jesus. Remember, He has a way of getting to the heart of the matter.

Let me ask you a question. Do you really love Jesus? If we love Him for His handiwork, that would not be the true way for us to love Him. Why do we think some churches may turn to millionaires? Some churches may don't have relationship with Jesus and most of their focus on relationship with people and their products to sell.

Do you love Him? If not, I’d like to encourage you to develop a relationship with Him. You would never be regretted.

Test of Love
Topic: Love

So when they had dined, Jesus saith to Simon Peter, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me more than these? He saith unto him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, Feed my lambs. He saith to him again the second time, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me? He saith unto him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, Feed my sheep. Verily, verily, I say unto thee, When thou wast young, thou girdedst thyself, and walkedst whither thou wouldest: but when thou shalt be old, thou shalt stretch forth thy hands, and another shall gird thee, and carry thee whither thou wouldest not. This spake he, signifying by what death he should glorify God. And when he had spoken this, he saith unto him, Follow me. (John 21:15-19 KJV)

Do you know why Jesus questioned Peter if he loved Him three times? The first two questions, Jesus used the Greek word, agape, which it translated as self-sacrificial love. Jesus wanted to know Peter’s heart. In Genesis 22, we read how God tested Abraham’s heart by commanding him to sacrifice his son, Isaac. As a result, God blessed him and made him as the father of all nations.

Does God want to bless us? Yes, of course. There is no question about it. But there is the cost for us to receive His blessing. It’s ashamed for today’s preachers to teach their congregations to seek God’s hands for outpouring of blessing. God is not our spiritual ATM, but He is our King, Savior, and Father. We’d need to understand that God is waiting for us to take into His kingdom. We read in Revelation that there will be a great marriage supper of the Lamb (Revelation 19:6-10) that is waiting for us to take part of it. But we’d need to show Him how much we love Him. God showed us how much He loves us by sending His Son to die for our sins. Now, it is our turn.

Paul said in Romans 12:1, “I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. “ God knows we are not perfect human beings. We do not have anything perfect gifts to give Him. But we can present Him with our sacrifice living for Him. He wants to have relationship with each of us daily. Our living status is for Him and not for the world. Even though we are living in the world, we’d need to set our minds on things above, not on things on the earth (Colossians 3:2).

Jesus asked Peter the same question three times, not because He wanted to make him crazy, but He’d like to know the condition of his heart. Do you have the heart to invite Jesus in your life? If not, please consider to take a step of your faith to know Jesus Christ personally.

Risk of Love

Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. (John 15:13 KJV)

Even though the month of February is considered as the month of love, I’d like to share with you some of the biblical aspects of it. Valentine’s Day is a big deal for some people. Even though Valentine’s Day arrived from the paganism, we’d need to understand why God loves us so much to send His Son to die for our sins.

It is sad that many church leaders have lost the passion to share the message of God’s love to their congregations. Instead, most Christians may learn about how God would bless them with materials. It’s all about self-centered Christians. Even though God can bless us materially, we need to develop our personal relationship with Him. God wants to have relationship with each of us personally. Jesus said in Matthew 6:33, “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” Most televangelists have misused some verses that are related to material blessing so much that some of us do not apply this verse to our lives.

On the day of Jesus’ crucifixion, He took the risk that He didn’t need to pay for our sins. Paul said in Romans 5:8, “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” He didn’t need to deserve to face the death by His people. John said that even His people didn’t accept Him (John 1:11). But Jesus loved those who rejected Him.

Jesus already paid our eternal debts (sins). It is up to us to accept His free gift of salvation or not. We don’t need to go through catholic priests to ask God forgiveness for our sins. Instead, we can go directly to Him through His Son, Jesus Christ. Paul said in I Timothy 2:5-6, “For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time.” He is our Advocate (I John 2:1). “And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world (I John 2:2).”

There is no other gods who took the risk for his people.

What is the Purpose of Life?
Topic: Living Life

With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation. (Psalm 91:16 KJV)

For all our days are passed away in thy wrath: we spend our years as a tale that is told. The days of our years are threescore years and ten; and if by reason of strength they be fourscore years, yet is their strength labour and sorrow; for it is soon cut off, and we fly away. (Psalm 90:9-10 KJV)

Have you wondered what the purpose of your life here is on earth? Most of us may know that God created us to enjoy our lives here on earth. But the ultimate reason why God created us is that He’d like to have relationship with each of us. It is sad that the most people may don’t think about God.

Currently, we are living in this world to satisfy ourselves rather than God. For example, some Christian leaders would like to try to climb the ladder of leadership positions through receiving approval from the people rather than God (and then people). I don’t think there is any higher church leadership position than the fivefold ministry that God gave each of us (Ephesians 4:11). Being apostle, prophet, evangelist, pastor and teacher don’t mean one leadership position higher than the other four, but he/she may have more responsibilities to take care of his/her flocks. Even non-bible college persons can minister to the others about the Gospel of Jesus Christ and heal the sick.

Living a life doesn’t mean that we have the right to murder someone, especially unborn children, to please ourselves. I know some of you may disagree on this. Of all US Presidents, Barak Obama is the worse president to lead the nation. This doesn’t mean former presidents were not worst leaders. Since he took the office in 2009, President Obama decided to vote/sign to legalize abortion, LGBT rights, remove Christian symbols from the university auditorium, and refused to participate the National Day of Prayer. Just named few. God wants everybody, even unborn children, to have life before He'd take us to eternal home. If the mother would decide to abort her unborn child, she'd be considered as a murder and deserve to face her death bed through Capitol punishment. That was then. But now, the people legalized for the women to go through abortion to try to satisfy their lives. It is sad that our current president favored the abortion process. Anybody cannot judge the unborn child to have life or not, not even President and Supreme Court, except God. Only God has the right for the unborn child to have life on earth or Heaven.

The purpose of living a life is living a life for God rather than for someone else.

Heavenly Worship Experience
Topic: Worship

And I heard as it were the voice of a great multitude, and as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of mighty thunderings, saying, Alleluia: for the Lord God omnipotent reigneth. Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready. And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints. And he saith unto me, Write, Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb. And he saith unto me, These are the true sayings of God. And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto me, See thou do it not: I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy. (Revelation 19:6-10 KJV)

I’d like to conclude the worship series with looking forward to heavenly worship, which it will be at the marriage supper of the Lamb. I believe that our worship to God doesn’t end in our lifetimes in earth, but it will go forever. We do not know what this celebration would be like when we’d enter to the kingdom of God. But the Bible declares that the Heaven will be like Garden of Eden, which God created in the beginning of the world (Genesis 1-3) without the sun, moon, and stars.

I started reading the book on Heaven by Pastor Randy Alcorn from Eternal Ministries Perspective. In his book, Alcorn explained why most people want to go to Heaven with shortcut. They want to go to Heaven without establishing their relationships with Jesus Christ. That’s what the religions teach to people today. We can go to church denominations and learn many doctrines to worship and establish relationship with Jesus Christ, but it will become useless. Jesus gave us two simple commands—love God and love other people—but we’d come up with doctrines and theories to complicate what God is trying to saying to us. The Bible is the only reliable resource that God gave us.

I believe there will be dozens of us worshipping God in Heaven. But we need to worship God while we are still living here. Going to Sunday service to worship God is not enough to build our relationship with Him. This is everyday and ongoing process. Think about if we’d have air only on Sunday, then we’d all die after 12 AM would hit on Monday. We can’t grasp what our worship in Heaven would be like, but we can taste it here.

I don’t think my worship to God is the same as ten years ago or one day ago. We’d need to boost our worship to God each day, so Satan could not able to defeat us. We need to be true worshippers of God (see John 4:23-24).

Worship in the Battleground
Topic: Worship

Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. (Ephesians 6:10-12 KJV)

This past Friday, one of my church members and I went to Fredericksburg Regional Prayer Furnace, which it is closed to my home. As I worshipped and praised the Lord with song, one of leaders came to me and prayed over me. As she prayed, she said that my worship with song is the weapon to fight against the spiritual darkness.

Currently, our nation is at the battleground. Even though we are facing difficult financial crisis and moral issues, this battle is not “against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.” Most people may believe that God is judging us, but they don’t know why He punishes us. As the way this nation is going, God is trying to wake us up from our couches and turn this nation upside up for Him. I believe what Peter said in 1 Peter 4:17, “For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God…” Our national economic system issue is not created by accident, because some of us may have misused our government money over years. We have built our national debts up to trillions of dollars that we cannot pay back to China and other nations we borrowed. It would take us several generations for us to free from the national debts.

We have lost our focused on Jesus Christ and turned into the worldly way of living. We blamed our politicians for our mistakes. Even though our politicians focus on the government system rather than God, we need to step up and take stand to assist them to lead into the right direction. We need to worship God rather than trying to legalizing homosexual marriage, abortion, and the use of weapons. We need to bring God’s name back to schools, so students can worship Him freely and they don’t need to take revenge on other persons for their actions. We need to worship God in home, so we do not need to go separately to live our lives. Today, schoolchildren are venerable and able to reach some kind of weapons to murder other students, because their families are kept arguing each other and not relying on God. It’s sad that many Christian homes are broken as equal to the none-Christians.

I don’t believe that any previous president, including Obama, had no idea when they made the treaty with the other nations, especially UN. They made an oath to God and to this nation as they elected to seat White House. Once the oath ceremony was ended, they started to go their own agendas to lead the nation. We, as the body of Christ, need to raise our voices to show them where we’d need to go from here. We need people like Moses and Joshua to lead the nation to the Promise Land. It’s not just enough for us to vote the person for President to lead the nation. God must be involved with the political process. Without Him, we would be kept digging for the solution to our messes.

Do you want transform your life to spend eternality with Jesus Christ? God planned to send His Son, Jesus Christ, to us to pay our sins, so we can have free access to God and develop personal relationship with Him. Would you like to have personal relationship with God? If you’d like to know Jesus Christ as your personal Savior, I’d like to encourage you to do two simple things. First, confess your sins and invite Jesus Christ to your life. What Do We Worship?
Topic: Worship

But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. (John 4:23 KJV)

I’d like to ask you a question. What do you worship on a daily basis? It’s one thing to give praise to other people around us, but we only give worship to God and none of others deserve worship beside Him. The word “worship” means “to give honor” or “to serve.” Even though we can give honor to our military or serve in our community, but this kind of worship only belong to God.

Most people may seek for the earthly things to satisfy their lives, such as money, cars, housings, marriage, entertainment, and etc. These things are good for us to have, but when we’d put them on the top of our priorities, we are worshipping idols rather than God. Joshua said in 24:15, “And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.”

As we see in this world, many people are trying to look for the answers to satisfy their needs. Unfortunately, they are looking at the wrong places. They worship wooden idols to receive the answers to their needs, but these wooden objects cannot answers to them. Or people are praying to Virgin Mother Mary on a daily basis, as co-equal with God, but she cannot speak to them. Mary, Buddha, Allah and other worldly gods didn’t approve themselves to deserve our worship. But why do people still worship them?

First, I think that they haven’t heard the Gospel of Jesus Christ yet. We see today many evangelists are preaching the Gospel at the large crowd rather than in a small village. In another word, the Gospel is not personalized to them. It’s ok to have large evangelism, but if the preachers would only go to large crowd of people to provide services, they are only looking for God’s hands rather than His true character.

Second, our country hasn’t awakened from spiritual fatness, because we have decided to shut our door from the public and let ungodly activities take over. It’s sad to see our president advocates for LGBT activists, Islam, abortion, and Palestine tries to take charge over Israel, the Holy Land. Why? Christians haven’t awakened from sleep. It only takes one Christian to speak up to bring God to our nation as one person spoke against His name in the public school.

We need to worship God with all of our strengths, hearts, and minds. We’d need to lose our spiritual fatness by sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ to individuals, who have not known Jesus Christ.

Brand New Journey
Topic: New Year

A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh. And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them. (Ezekiel 36:27 KJV)

Are you ready for another year of journey for the year 2013? Even though the passage related to the national birth of Israel, it also relevant to us today. Our nation needs to turn back to our Creator. We see today what we have been created to glorify ourselves rather than God. Many churches have been sold themselves out to other religions and created a brand new religion, such as Chrislam (Christianity + Islam). Many people had been killed by natural disaster, gunman, and etc. It was the saddest moment for the nation to see those 20 elementary children and 7 teachers died by the gunman at Connecticut on December 14, 2012. We also see that this nation is already turned into the days of Sodom and Gomorrah by legalizing same-sex marriage and other ungodly activities.

This nation has walked away from the family value that each of member would decide to go their own way. Either Republican or Democratic leaders have lost their contacts with their people and God to bring the peace in America. I don’t believe that solving our national economic crisis is not the solution to the problem, but we need our heart surgeries by turning ourselves to God.

God is willing to give us new hearts (minds) if we’d let Him. We do not need to belong to this world system. It’s hard to move ourselves away from the world system. God knows our struggles. We need to keep trust and rely on God to take us through this life journey. We don’t know what 2013 would bring us. But one thing for sure: God is ready to walk with us through this brand new year.

Do you want transform your life to spend eternality with Jesus Christ? God planned to send His Son, Jesus Christ, to us to pay our sins, so we can have free access to God and develop personal relationship with Him. Would you like to have personal relationship with God? MGJCStatement on Connecticut Tragedy
Topic: Nation
Throughout the Bible, we read that Satan tried to kill children by using ungodly kings. In Exodus 1, we read that King Pharaoh tried to kill all the Hebrew male babies. In a same way in Matthew 2, we read that King Herod tried to find baby Jesus by killing all the babies under age 2. Why? They were the next generation leaders who could lead their people into God. So, was there similarity between the biblical events and December 14th event at Newtown, Connecticut? We would not know these victims of children were raised by Christian homes. But I do know this--God was there when these children and teachers were killed by the gunman. I do believe that God had a great future plan for each of them. As Jeremiah 1:5 declares, "Before I (God) formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations."

We cannot guarantee if we would be alive tomorrow or God would take us away on Dec. 21, 2012. But we must put our faiths in Him and continue to do jobs while we are still living for God. I understand some disability advocates are disappointed that US Senate did not pass the UN CRPD Treaty. But if US would engage with UN on any treaty, our nation would not have the same freedom as today.

Currently, our nation is facing difficult economic issues. As our national leader would try to fix the issue, we are going deeper into the problem. We cannot escape from the financial issues until we would come into realization that we need God to govern our nation again.

All the issues that this nation is facing would teach us that we'd need God in our land.

Are you saved? Are your love ones and friends saved in the grace of God through Jesus Christ? The purpose of this ministry is to share with you how much God loves you and me and wants to come in our own life to take us through any obstacles in our daily life. As Jesus said, “Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God; trust also in me. In my Father’s house are many rooms, if it were not so, I would have told you. I am going there to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am.” (John 14:1-3.)

If you are lukewarm in your relationship with Jesus Christ and want to know Him as your personal Savior and Lord of your life, please consider asking Him to forgive your sins and invite Him into your life. Paul says, “That if you confess with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believed and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved.” (Romans 10:9-10.) If you have done in your private room or workplace, then you need to tell to your friends or love ones about what you have done, so they may rejoice with you and want to have that relationship with Christ in their own life. There are many occultisms in the world, which do not know the love of God and His great plan for those who believe in Him. As it is written in John 3:16, “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”

Who be the Leader of the Nation?
Topic: Nation

But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light... (I Peter 2:9 KJV0

I believe this November election would be critical event in our nation. Even though both side of political parties would have different views of how our nation to survive from all the problems, is it the time for the Church of Jesus Christ (not Latter Day of Saint) to speak up for the truth of the Gospel of Jesus Christ?

1 Peter 2:9 doesn’t only apply for those who lead the churches, but those who truly born again in Jesus Christ. It is so bad enough that some of us would become spiritually fat and not do anything to share the love and truth of God to those who doesn‘t have relationship with Jesus Christ. Why our national leaders proclaim to be born-again Christians and yet they don’t show their fruits of spirits? Is it because they’d like to be popular by Christian voters? If this is the reason, then they would become deceiver of the nation. Currently, American has taken God’s name out from the schools and replaced it with immorality, witchcraft, religions and cults. Today’s churches are so famous that anybody can go to listen to preachers on what they want to hear. There are no convictions of spirits in these churches.

What our nation can do to avoid becoming spiritually poor?

First, we’d need to pray for our nation to reunite with God. I know there are some Christian organizations, in nationwide, have 24/7 fasting and prayer services in the public community. That’s good. But, we also need to spend ourselves with God daily.

Second, we’d need to pray for our family to reunite with God. Our nation issues don’t begin at White House. Even though I may not like what our president is doing, we don’t just blame for our leaders for the mess. Only one person who spoke against the prayer in school, we became silent and let other religions and cults take over the national educational curriculum.  Nowadays, we hear about the bomb thread in schools, murder, student had sex with the faculty member, and now, some schools are trying to advocate for the sex education as one of educational curriculums. We’d need to put God in home and the church is not responsible for raising our young people.

We let our young people to vote whoever led this country. Yet, we have created huge mess in our nation. We let our president to advocate for LGBT, abortion, homosexual marriage in Public Square, and formation of Chislam. Our national job losses are kept building and we’ve built trillions of dollars on national debts. Even though we’d see the formation of New World Order, we need to be representative and advocate for the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Are you the one who advocate for the kingdom of God? If you are not sure, please think moment what Jesus did for you at the cross. The Bible says that Jesus came to this world to suffer for our sins by dying at the Cross.  Not only He died, He resurrected on the third day (72 hours) to demonstrate that He is the bridge between God and men. Apostle Paul said in Romans 5:8, “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” I love what Joshua (24:15) said, “And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.”

We have the choice to vote which candidate could lead our nation to right direction. Mostly, we’d have to choose either God or world to show our next US President to which road the nation can take.

Repent Our Sins to God
Topic: Relationship

And saying, Repent ye: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand. (Matthew 3:2 KJV)

Most today’s churches, it is hard for us to hear the words “repent our sins.” Most Sunday messages that we’d hear from the pulpit is on how God can bless us financially. The word “repent” is gone from our vocabulary words.

The Greek definition for the word repent is to change one mind’s for better. In third chapter of the Book of Matthew, we see John was preparing the way for the people to accept as their personal Lord and Savior. It was not enough for John to baptize his people. They’d need to transform their minds to Jesus Christ.

Again, we often seek for the better things of the world, such as houses, jobs, TV, and cars. Yesterday, I read an article on body suit that may enabled the paralyzed to walk. This article was from Jack Van Impe Ministries Newsletter. As I read this article, I have a mixture of good and bad thoughts. I think this advanced technology would be good to those who cannot walk. However, if we'd depend on advanced technologies to assist the people with disabilities, where are our faiths in Jesus Christ? Technology is the key for the Antichrist to rule the world (Revelation 13). If we'd want to receive miracles in our lives, trust and have faith in Jesus Christ. Most people may think I wouldn't receive miracle in physical situation. Miracle is not only related to physical need, but it begins within inside of us.

If we do not depend on God and keep depend on the world system, we are not going to spend eternality with Jesus Christ. Instead, we are heading into Hell. Hell is a burning place that would last for eternality. It is on the center of the earth. We often hear the volcano interruption on the news report. Behind the volcano interruption, there are people who are trapped and crying in the lake of fire (Earth Core) and there are no ways to get out from the place. Most scientists cannot discover deeply into volcano interruption because of the heat inside the volcano. Hell is a real place as there is Heaven.

What is the Blessing of the Lord?
Topic: Blessing

Every man shall give as he is able, according to the blessing of the LORD thy God which he hath given thee. (Deuteronomy 16:17 KJV)

Most today’s Christians may believe that the word blessing means prosperity or gaining money. Even though prosperity is the part of receiving of blessing from God, this is the only small part of it. The word blessing means prosperity (not only relates to money, but health and everything we already have in both physical and spiritual), praise of God, a gift, and treaty of peace. Do you know why we say bless you after someone would sneeze? Is because we’d want that person to get well? If we wouldn’t know what is behind two simple words, why are we saying it?

And then there’s another wrong way to use God’s blessing. Most media evangelists have misused the definition of blessing and prosperity. They interpret these two words as related to the finance and nothing else. It’s all about how we can become rich in Christian lives. It’s self-serving Christian living method that we may hear on Christian TV/radio, books, and other merchandises.

Let’s read what Jesus said about blessing in Matthew 5:3-11: “Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted. Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth. Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled. Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy. Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God. Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God. Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness’ sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.”

When God blesses us, He doesn’t give us what we’d need financially, but everything what we already have and don’t have. It’s sad for God to hear our mourning for blessing. He already knows what we need. But, are we blessing God? Do you thank Him to wake you up in the morning? Do you stop and praise and worship Him? If not, what do we deserve to ask Him for blessing? We’d need to reunite with Him and spend the time daily to build personal relationship. God only wants from us is to build one-on-one relationship.

Is Obedience Better than Sacrifice?
Topic: Truth

I hate, I despise your feast days, and I will not smell in your solemn assemblies. Though ye offer me burnt offerings and your meat offerings, I will not accept them: neither will I regard the peace offerings of your fat beasts. Take thou away from me the noise of thy songs; for I will not hear the melody of thy viols. But let judgment run down as waters, and righteousness as a mighty stream. Have ye offered unto me sacrifices and offerings in the wilderness forty years, O house of Israel? (Amos 5:21-25 KJV)

Have you wondered why God refused for Saul continued to be king for His people (I Samuel 15:22)? If he obeyed God faithfully, would Jesus arrive through the lineage through King Saul, not King David? Because of his disobedience, even though the part of mistakes was Samuel’s, Saul lost the kingship.

Even though God originated sacrifice system for God to forgive our sins, He is actually looking for our hearts. I Samuel 16:7 says, “But the LORD said unto Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for the LORD seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the LORD looketh on the heart.”

For us to attend our regular Sunday worship services are not enough to please God. He wants to have relationship with us daily. This means that we’d need to spend quality time more than just going to the church once a week. Paul said in Romans 12:1, “I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.” Do you want to have personal relationship God? Your whole body must be devoted to God. This doesn’t mean put yourself to sacrifice your body. We’d need to obey His instruction and live for Him.

Even though there is a large percentage of Americans believe to recognize themselves as Christians, but their hearts may more rely onto this world. Some preachers may able to preach some good messages on Sundays, but rest of the week, they may do things that please to this world. As results of their actions, God exposed them to their congregations and to national media, such as Pastors Eddie Young, Benny Hinn, Paula White, Rick Warren, and Robert Schuler, Sr.

Are You Secure Eternally?
Topic: Eternal Question

And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham’s bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried; And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom. (Luke 16:22-23 KJV)

Yesterday, I read one of car bumper stickers that said, “If you die today, where would you be—Heaven or Hell?” Most today’s Americans wish to go to Heaven, but they have different method to go there. I was surprised to hear from one of gentlemen, who claimed himself as Christian, said that he doesn’t care where he would be after this life. His statement indicates that he doesn’t care about his life and he’d not worry if his life would end at Hell.

God didn’t create Hell for anyone to enjoy suffering, but He created it for Satan and demons. Unfortunately, God let us to choose to go there. We read in Luke 16 how the rich man ended his life in Hell. It is a terrible place for anyone would spend eternally. Even God doesn’t like anyone to end up in Hell, yet, some people would like to live without God in their lives.

God didn’t send His Son to die for our sins, so we could have happy life. No! John 3:17 says, “…God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.“ That is why Paul said in Romans 5:8, “…God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”

So, where you would be after this life? Heaven or Hell? There is no third way to spend eternality. Mormon believes that there are three levels of heaven and no hell. If that is true, then why Jesus came to die for our sins? It would be useless. But Mormon couldn’t approve where three levels of heaven be. Mormon also couldn’t approve if God gave the founder some missing links to the Books of Gospel.

Where is Justice?
Topic: Nation

Cry aloud, spare not, lift up thy voice like a trumpet, and shew my people their transgression, and the house of Jacob their sins. Yet they seek me daily, and delight to know my ways, as a nation that did righteousness, and forsook not the ordinance of their God: they ask of me the ordinances of justice; they take delight in approaching to God. (Isaiah 58:1-2 KJV)

Where is justice in Christian nation, America? What’s happening to our nation that our forefather began this nation with the Holy Word of God? Would America be ready for God’s judgment?

Just a few days ago, President Obama announced that he’s favor of homosexual marriage. Why? Is because he wants to win for this year election for the second term? Or is because he wants everybody to be happy, even those who reject God’s view on traditional marriage? Even though we want everybody to be happy, there is a boundary line between God and mankind’s way to live life. We didn’t start to live life until God formed us. We belong to Him, not to ourselves.

In Genesis 2:24 says, “Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.” This statement doesn’t say about marriage between man and man or woman and woman or man with several wives. King Solomon had about thousand wives while he ruled in Israel. As a result, he lost his personal relationship with God and began to follow several pagan gods that his wives worshipped.

We need to pray for our president and other political leaders to turn this around to 360 degree. Last June, we began to see some Christian leaders decided to be united with Islam and made a new religion, which it is now called Chrislam. President Obama, Oprah Winfrey, Robert Scheduler, Sr. and Rick Warren are the part of this new religious movement.

We need to stand and pray for our political and religious leaders to turn away from their sins and reunite with God to lead this nation. But, we need to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ to our families, friends, neighbors, and communities before He’d return to judge our nation.

Why He Died for Us?
Topic: Gospel

Who hath believed our report? and to whom is the arm of the LORD revealed? For he shall grow up before him as a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry ground: he hath no form nor comeliness; and when we shall see him, there is no beauty that we should desire him. He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not. Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all. He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth: he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he openeth not his mouth. He was taken from prison and from judgment: and who shall declare his generation? for he was cut off out of the land of the living: for the transgression of my people was he stricken. And he made his grave with the wicked, and with the rich in his death; because he had done no violence, neither was any deceit in his mouth. Yet it pleased the LORD to bruise him; he hath put him to grief: when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of the LORD shall prosper in his hand. He shall see of the travail of his soul, and shall be satisfied: by his knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many; for he shall bear their iniquities. Therefore will I divide him a portion with the great, and he shall divide the spoil with the strong; because he hath poured out his soul unto death: and he was numbered with the transgressors; and he bare the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors. (Isaiah 53 KJV)

As we celebrate Resurrection Sunday, have you wondered why Jesus died on Wednesday evening and resurrected on Saturday evening? Most Christians believe that He died on Good Friday and resurrected at the sunrise on Sunday. According to the Scripture, this concept of Jesus’ time of death and resurrection is incorrect. According to Matthew 11:40, Jesus gave the time of Jonah as when He would be in the tomb and His resurrection. That’s 72 hours (3 days x 24 hours), not 36 hours (12 hours x 3 days or 1 day and 2 nights). Also, Jesus’ resurrection must meet the requirement of High Sabbath.

The word Easter doesn’t relate to Jesus’ resurrection. However, the word Easter in Acts 12:4 (KJV) refers to Passover. No wonder why there has been mixed up between Easter and Resurrection Sunday.

Romans 5:8 tells us why Jesus died for us: “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” God knew that people cannot pay for their sins because of their stubbornness. 2000 years ago, God brought His Son, Jesus, to die for our sins and resurrect on the third day, so He could be with us. He is our Emmanuel. There are no other religions to explain this great love. Not from Roman Catholicism, Mormonism, Islam, Jehovah Witness, and other secular religions.

Isaiah didn’t just dream this horrific event of his future Messiah. God gave him this prediction, so he could tell about this Messiah to his people and to the upcoming generation.

Encounter with Friends
Topic: Book of Job

Now when Job’s three friends heard of all this evil that was come upon him, they came every one from his own place; Eliphaz the Temanite, and Bildad the Shuhite, and Zophar the Naamathite: for they had made an appointment together to come to mourn with him and to comfort him. And when they lifted up their eyes afar off, and knew him not, they lifted up their voice, and wept; and they rent every one his mantle, and sprinkled dust upon their heads toward heaven. So they sat down with him upon the ground seven days and seven nights, and none spake a word unto him: for they saw that his grief was very great. (Job 2:11-13 KJV)

Do you have at least one best friend in your life? Proverbs 27:10 says, “A friend loveth at all times, and a brother is born for adversity.” If you would not have a friend in your life, how you’d solve all your life problems? Jesus demonstrated how important of friendship is in our lives.

As we read in later part of Job 2, we see that Job’s friends came to him to try to give him comfort. They sat and mourned with him for a week. They cannot say anything to him during his family crisis. We do not know if Eliphaz, Bildad, and Zophar stayed with him for whole time or took a turn. But his three friends were there.

There are some benefits of this relationship as we read Job 2:11-13. Unlike the relationship within the marriage, friend can come and spend with you at anytime in any place. Our friends can stay with us and assist our needs or spend some time with us as needed. Your spouse can be your best friend, but there wouldn’t be deeper relationship as friendship would go.

We have our world best friend. His name is Jesus. He has done far more than what other friends or spouses cannot do. He died on the cross to pay our debt of sins and resurrected on the third day to be with His Father. In the meantime, He sent the Holy Spirit to guide us and intercede with our Heavenly Father.

The Lord is My Shepherd
Topic: Gospel

The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever. (Psalm 23:1-6 KJV)

Psalm 23 is a psalm of confessing joyful in the Lord as the good Shepherd-King. God is our Shepherd because He cares and loves us. In the same time, He is our King. We sometimes take God as King out, because we want Him to be our Friend. Even though He is our Friend, it doesn’t mean He can’t be our Judge. In this psalm, there are two kingship metaphors describe the blessing and security that the Lord provides for His people.

First ones is the Shepherd-King (Psalm 23:1-4). God is our Shepherd. He is watching over us and guiding us. People often said angels are watching over us. This may be true, but angels cannot just watch over us until God directs them to do so. Some of us may so focus on angels, we would leave God out in the equation. Hebrew 1:7-8 says, “And of the angels he saith, Who maketh his angels spirits, and his ministers a flame of fire. But unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of thy kingdom.”

Even though we need angels, we must ask God to send angels to watch over our little children, family, friends, neighbors, and community. There are two kinds of angels: God’s angels and Satan’s. In Job 1, we see that Satan can enter into God’s council meeting. Throughout the four books of Gospel, we see that demons can control over the people, which are Satan’s angels. If we’d seek angels for guidance without God’s acknowledge, we don’t know which angels we are asking for assistance.

Second points in Psalm 23 is the Host of the banquet (vv. 5, 6). We can celebrate with God over all of our troubles. I like what David wrote in verse 4: “Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.” God said in Isaiah 43:2, “When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.”

Do you trust God to walk with you through the valley of the shadow of death? If not, why not stop what you are doing right now and just begin to seek His face. God loves you, but He wants to bring you into His home to celebrate your life and spend eternity with you. He doesn’t want to leave you as orphan, but He wants you as part of His family. Would you like to become His family?
