No One Deceive You
Topic: End of the Age

11:56 PM

And Jesus went out, and departed from the temple: and his disciples came to him for to shew him the buildings of the temple. And Jesus said unto them, See ye not all these things? verily I say unto you, There shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down.

And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world? And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you. For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many. And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. (Matthew 24:1-6 KJV)

As there are many trategies happening in the world today, we see that Jesus Christ is coming to the earth soon to settle His government. There will be a sound of trumpet from heaven prior to the return of Jesus Christ. As we just read in Matthew 24, there will be a great deception and a rumor of war take place. The Antichrist is not going to arise to the world until the whole world system would turn into chaos.  So that he can fix the system and form the New World Order, which President George H.W. Bush announced during his term in the office. The Bible also said that the Antichrist will make a seven years of Peace Treaty with Israel, but he will break in the middle of it.

I believe that we could be last generation to see the fulfillment of the Book of Revelation. Here are some of the reasons that we are the last generation.

  1. Advanced technology: Now we have a microchip to go into the animal skins. Pretty soon, it will be available for our skin. The microchip contains the personal data information, such as banking account, your health information, and your personal profile. If you read The Left Behind series, Tim LaHaye and Jerry B. Jenkins provided a false information about the Mark of Beast. They said that if Christians receive the mark, they can reverse it. However, our Bible said that it is an eternal mark to separate ourselves from God. Read Revelation 13 and see how we close to see the event.

  2. We see that some people fall into a great deception. Paul said in II Thessalonians 2: 11, "And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie…" We see on our televisions. Many people believe into the televangelists that if they'd give $1000 to their ministries, God will give them double portion of your money. This is why I don't like any outreach ministry-a-thon on Christian channels. We read about how Jesus was upsetting when the Temple turned into merchandise stores. Even today, we see same situation. First twenty minutes of the program is on teaching and the remainder of the program is commercials.

  3. Our Bible has been attacked over the years. Have you noticed that we have hundreds versions of the Bible while other religions have one? Why is that? Think moment. Jesus warned us that there will be prince of this world is about to come, who has nothing to do with Him (John 14:30). Just as what he did to Adam and Eve, he will do everything in his power to try to push us away from God. One of his methods is trying to make us confuse with God's Words. Many today' Bible versions have omitted original Greek and Hebrew manuscript of the text. This is why there is no conviction of our spirits when we read the Bible. We need to read and meditate on God's Words everyday to sharp our spirits. The King James Version of the Bible arrived from the original manuscript.

Are you saved? Are your love ones and friends saved in the grace of God through Jesus Christ? The purpose of this study is to help you to become closer relationship with Jesus Christ. As Jesus said, "Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God; trust also in me. In my Father's house are many rooms, if it were not so, I would have told you. I am going there to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am." (John 14:1-3.)

If you are lukewarm in your relationship with Jesus Christ and want to know Him as your personal Savior and Lord of your life, please consider asking Him to forgive your sins and invite Him into your life. Paul says, "That if you confess with your mouth, `Jesus is Lord,' and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believed and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved." (Romans 10:9-10.) If you have done in your private room or workplace, then you need to tell to your friends or love ones about what you have done, so they may rejoice with you and want to have that relationship with Christ in their own life. There are many occults in the world, which do not know the love of God and His great plan for those who believe in Him. As it is written in John 3:16, "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life."

Free Again
Topic: Nation

There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death. (Romans 8:1-2 KJV)

Tomorrow is our nation's Independent Day. As we celebrate the birth of our nation, we need to remind ourselves what made this nation to have such freedom. Were our founding fathers, who believed in God and built this nation under One God? Right now, this nation is under attacked, not by natural force, but spiritual. It is sad for us to see our nation has been turned away from our Heavenly Father and walked into sins.

I want to stress this further. Our nation has not been liked what she was in 90s, 80s, or further. Before I arrived to America in 1990, I went to school where I received spiritual food before taking a class. I don't know if they still practice or not. But our nation needs to go back to the basic of this nation was founded on. It is sad for us to see that many churches have been walked away from God and leading us to secular worldly gospel. When I turn some Christian channels, such as TBN and Daystar Network, most today's teachings are on Christian living and how we can get blessing from God. Paul said that some people have itching ears (2 Timothy 4:3). Do you know why Lakewood Church in Houston, Texas has the multimillion people each week? They want to hear what they want to hear from Joel Osteen instead from God through this preacher.

There is a different between a man of God who speaks from his own interpretation of the Bible or through the Holy Spirit. The preacher who speaks from his own interpretation of the Scripture does not convict our sins. John 14:26 gave us the duty of the Holy Spirit: "But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you." We need the Holy Spirit to lead us the way. He is also a bridge gap between us and God. Paul said in Romans 8:26-27, "Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God."

It has been too long for us to see that America had been #1 of the world, beside Israelite nation. If Hillary Clinton would decide to cut off our relationship with  Israel when she'd become a president, our nation may need to face some consequences. This is not just her presidential talk. This nation has been blessed by God because we have relationship with Israel. God is holding back His wrath against this nation because our faithfulness to Israel and His Church.

We don't like to taste God's wrath upon our nation. It is sad to see that people face tragedies in vary places. Since I have been here in America, I see and hear many tragedies all over the world. Now, we have to protect ourselves from ISIS. Time is ticking. When we would hear the trumpet sound from above, we know that God is near to come to settle His government on Earth.

Wake Up Call
Topic: Nation

For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. (Ephesians 6:12 KJV)

In a few more months, it will be my 26 years of my life journey in America. I believed that our nation had been the greatest country of the world. It still is. God has not wiped America out yet. He is patiently waiting for us to surrender our lives to Him. Unfortunately, there has been a major shift changed over the years. Students cannot express their faiths n Jesus Christ at their schools anymore. Christian curriculum activities are opt out from the schools and have been replaced with occult and other religion activities, such as Henry Potter book series and yoga exercise.

I recently watched a CBN News video clip on "Former Radical Muslim ISIK ABLA WARNS America about the true face of Islam in response to the Orlando shooting" and some comments. It tore this person's heart to see what her former religion is doing in our nation. You can find this video clip at MGJC Web page at www.mgjcweb.org. Yet, our national leaders have refused the words "radical Islamic terrorists" to scare the group away. Instead, they embraced them to live in this country. We have now a recent new religion, which is called Chrislam. Chrislam is a mixture of two religions blend together between Christianity and Islam. If you want to have more information on Chrislam, visit MGJC Web Ministry's E-Library at www.mgjcweb.org.

There is a reason of why we see trategies in the world, especially Israel and United States. These two nations are devil's bull eye. Since God promised Abraham to be a father of many nations (Genesis 12:1-3; 17:1-8), our nation has the part of His plan. Some bible scholars believe that America is the mystery Babylon that the Book of Revelation addresses. We have been opened the door to Roman Catholicism, Islam, Hindu, Jehovah Witness, and other religions to settle in this nation. Instead of being witnesses to them the Gospel of Jesus Christ, we embraced to their religions. Currently, many churches are weaker on the teaching of very foundation of our faith. We have forgotten the basic lesson of the gospel, because we hear more teachings on living a Christian life rather than how we need to live for God.

Folks, we need to wake our spiritual eyes and cry out for God to take over this nation. Currently, our nation has been formed one of ten super nations, which Prophet Daniel predicted. If this is true, the Antichrist is preparing himself to appear to the world and settle his world system (New World Order) at any moment. The NWO cannot be formed until every world system is falling apart, such as Oklahoma Bombing of 1995, 9/11/2001 Tragedy, LGBT Pride, interfaith movement, abortion, and gender identity issues among the children.

A Call to Pray
Topic: Nation

If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.  (II Chronicles7:14 KJV)

We need to pray and steadfast for our nation more than ever today.  As our nation is continuing to transform into Sodom and Gomorrah, we see that God's judgement is very near upon this nation.  Paul said in Ephesians 6:12, "For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places."

Currently, our children are in a dangerous situation with their identities.  Some of you have thought for them to read Henry Potter books as the part of school curriculum was not acceptable because of witchcraft practices.  Now, schools are pushing more further for children to stay away from God and their family values.  It was not enough for our nation to open the door for other religions and homosexual couples take over our communities and homes.  Satan always want to attack our little ones.  Why he's attacking children?  Read Matthew 18:1-3: "At the same time came the disciples unto Jesus, saying, Who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven? And Jesus called a little child unto him, and set him in the midst of them, And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven."  We are the children of God and Satan hates us to become the part of His family.

Right now, President Obama and government are twisting our constitutional laws.  Since our president selected liberal judges to serve in Supreme Court, our nation has the right to kill unborn child through abortion process, let our nation have homosexual marriage, legal to sell marijuana, and now on transgender.

We need to stand our gaps and fight a good fight "against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places."  Are you ready to stand our gaps for children, family, community, church, and nation?  Let's call God and surrender ourselves to Him.

The Early Church Eras (Acts 1:18-20): Betrayer
Topic: Act of Apostles

Now this man purchased a field with the reward of iniquity; and falling headlong, he burst asunder in the midst, and all his bowels gushed out. And it was known unto all the dwellers at Jerusalem; insomuch as that field is called in their proper tongue, Aceldama, that is to say, The field of blood. For it is written in the book of Psalms, Let his habitation be desolate, and let no man dwell therein: and his bishoprick let another take.  (Acts 1:18-20 KJV)

Acts 1:18 needs to be correlated with Matthew 27:3–10. The simplest explanation may be found in the principle that, whereas in Acts Luke records all events (such as the acts of Judas), Matthew distinguishes between what Judas did and what the priests did. Remember, Judas betrayed Jesus by handed Him over to Roman emperor and the priests tried to make Him guilty to abolish the Law of Moses. Priests did not understand that He came to the world to fulfill the laws.

In Matthew 27:3-10, we see that Judas betrayed Jesus with thirty pieces of silver, and he came to realize what he did was wrong. Have we ever betray Jesus with the worldly possession? Even we cannot give Jesus away to FBI or Supreme Court, we put Him in a small box with our favorite things to do, such as Sunday Night Football or going on a shopping spring.

Romans 3:23 tells us that we all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God. It is necessary to realize that we are the sinners. Don't blame Adam and Eve to bring the sin nature of this world. They already shared their false. It is our turn to repent our sins to God. We have turned away from God and rely on the things of this world. I John 2:15-16 says, "Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world." We cannot embrace the love of this world with God. This is the problem with today's Christian artists. Some of their songs have emerge with worldly tunes. Instead, their songs are praising and honoring God, their songs draw to the world and make multimillionaire.

Do we have darkness spots in our hearts? We can clean that spots that are inside of us with the blood of Jesus.

Do you have your relationship with the Heavenly Father? If not, I like to encourage you to develop your personal relationship with Jesus Christ today. First, confess your sins and invite Jesus Christ to your life. Paul said in Romans 10:9-11, “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.” There is no sinner prayer formula. Instead, you just talk to God at where you are now. Secondly, I’d like to encourage you to find a good solid biblical teaching church and Christian friends. They can help you to build strong relationship with God. If you’d need further assistance, you can email me at mgjcministries@mgjcweb.org or visit my ministries website at www.mgjcweb.org for further resources.

The Early Church Eras (Acts 1:15-17): Obtaining the Works of Ministry of Jesus Christ
Topic: Act of Apostles
And in those days Peter stood up in the midst of the disciples, and said,  (the number of names together were about an hundred and twenty,) Men and brethren, this scripture must needs have been fulfilled, which the Holy Ghost by the mouth of David spake before concerning Judas, which was guide to them that took Jesus. For he was numbered with us, and had obtained part of this ministry. (Acts 1:15-17 KJV)

When we began this portion of the Scripture previously, we studied on how does the corporate worship impacts us physically and spiritually. It is important for us to have fellowship each other as having personal time with God. We need both personal time with God and fellowship with our brothers and sisters in Christ.

As we read in this passage of the Holy Scripture, we must understand why Peter thinks missing a member is important to obtaining the works of the ministry. Even though God doesn’t care about the number, one missing person is important to the whole group. Jesus said in a parable in Luke 15:4-7, “What man of you, having an hundred sheep, if he lose one of them, doth not leave the ninety and nine in the wilderness, and go after that which is lost, until he find it? And when he hath found it, he layeth it on his shoulders, rejoicing. And when he cometh home, he calleth together his friends and neighbours, saying unto them, Rejoice with me; for I have found my sheep which was lost. I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just persons, which need no repentance.”

Also, the number twelve means government. We need a governmental structure to lead the lost souls into Christ. As we see today, our governmental structure is broken into many pieces. Many people do not know what is right from sinning against God. Recently, we let Supreme Court ruled over homosexual agenda over this country. Many people think that they are doing God’s favor, even though it is against His Words. We need to restructure our government system, not depend on our view, but God.

Our land needs another spiritual awakening. We are, I believe, walking away from God. Every e-mail update, I receive from ACLU, is concerning our nation. Right now, ACLU is fighting against the Planned Parenthood and the pro-choice. I am tickle when people tried to reword abortion with these word phrases to make sound good. There is nothing to say good about it. People are murdering their unborn children before they’d come out from mothers’ wombs. I don’t understand why people are concerning more about crime activities in the streets, but less concern about abortion. Again, we need to restructure our government system with the Holy Words of God.

The Early Church Eras (Acts 1:13-17): Corporate Worship
And when they were come in, they went up into an upper room, where abode both Peter, and James, and John, and Andrew, Philip, and Thomas, Bartholomew, and Matthew, James the son of Alphaeus, and Simon Zelotes, and Judas the brother of James. These all continued with one accord in prayer and supplication, with the women, and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with his brethren. (Acts 1:13-17 KJV)

Now, it's waiting time for them to receive the promise from Jesus-the Holy Ghost. While Jesus' disciples were waiting in an upper room, except Judas Iscariot, they all came together to worship and fellowship each other with women, Virgin Mary, and His other people. Remember, Judas Iscariot committed a suicide after he betrayed Jesus to Pharisees. Even though he committed a crime, Jesus understood that it must be done according to the Old Testament prophecy.

While they were waiting, there are some points we need to learn from this passage. First, we need to have continual fellowship each other. Even though Jesus was not with His disciples, it does not mean that they can forget about whole things. We read that before Jesus left from the earth, He gave them the Great Commission, which it reads in Matthew 28:18-20: "And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen." It is their turn to share the Gospel to the rest of the world. It is our turn to be in the priesthood (I Peter 2:9). Some today's Christian leaders said that we are "little gods," which it is unbiblical and misinterpretation of the Scripture. This is why we need to meditate on the Words of God daily. We cannot interpret the Scripture by our own understanding. King Solomon wrote in Proverbs 3:5-6, "Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths."

To have fellowship with other church bodies is important to our lives. It gives comfort and encouragement before we go in our separate way. Not only that, it also gives us to go deeper unto the Words of God. Even though the Bible may seem to be ancient, it still relevant to our lives today.

Do you have your relationship with the Heavenly Father? If not, I like to encourage you to develop your personal relationship with Jesus Christ today. First, confess your sins and invite Jesus Christ to your life. Paul said in Romans 10:9-11, "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. The Early Church Eras (Acts 1:9-12): Sign of His Second Coming
Topic: Act of Apostles

And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight. And while they looked stedfastly toward heaven as he went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel; Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven. Then returned they unto Jerusalem from the mount called Olivet, which is from Jerusalem a sabbath day's journey. (Acts 1:9-12 KJV)

After Jesus promised His disciples on the Holy Spirit and their next mission assignment, it was His departure to be with His Father. Remember, Jesus promised us to return to the earth to take us to Heaven. In the Book of Revelation said that we will be governing the new earth with Him. So, we don't need to be wondering about our future plan with Him. God left us with His Words of Promise-the Bible (Basic Information Before Leaving the Earth).

Let's read what Paul said about the second coming of Christ in I Thessalonians 4:16-18: "For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Wherefore comfort one another with these words." In this passage of the Holy Scripture, Paul said that all the people will see His returning. Even though the word "rapture" in the Bible, those who believe in Him "shall be caught up together with them in the clouds." Just stop and think a moment about what Paul had seen in his vision. It would be our reunion with Jesus Christ.

So, why His disciples should be surprise about Jesus' ascending to Heaven? They didn't need to be surprise. Everything what Jesus taught them was leading up to their turn to continue to do His mission. Whole Book of Acts is not about the birth of Christianity, because, as I said previously, God is careless about our religious group title. We don't hear the teaching on the Second Coming of Christ enough. It's all about our needs, not establishing our relationship with Jesus Christ. As we see and hear today's news, there are many global tragedies are happening, especially in Middle East as the prophecy is revealing to us. If your church would not be teaching on the Second Coming of Jesus and other biblical prophecies, you'd be missing very point about why we see many tragedies around the globe today.

Are you ready to meet Jesus Christ? God is holding back His judgment against America, but it would not last. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation." There is no sinner prayer formula. Instead, you just talk to God at where you are now. The Early Church Eras (Acts 1:8): To be Evangelism
Topic: Act of Apostles

But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth. (Acts 1:8 KJV)

Now, we have arrived to the main theme or thesis verse of the Book of Acts, which it is evangelism or spreading of Christianity. Before He left His disciples, Jesus commanded them to go out to the world to teach others what He taught them to do. Throughout the books of Gospel, He showed them what their faiths can do if they'd believe in Him. Jesus also demonstrated them how to develop with God and people. Jesus said in Matthew 22:37-39, "Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself."

The words Christian appears twice (Acts 26:28 and I Peter 4:16) and Christians appear only once (Acts 11:26) in the King James Version. The other modern translations of the Bible may have more verses, which they constrict from the original translation of the Bible, KJV. As we see, God is careless about which religious group we belong to. It's about our relationship with God and people. By the way, there is no single verse that contains with the word Christianity

Why Jesus commanded His disciples to be worldwide evangelists to the world, starting in Jerusalem? Unlike today, they walked hundred miles or more to share the Gospel of Jesus to several villages. While they proclaimed the Words of God, these disciples faced many hardships from unbelievers, as we read throughout the Book of Acts. They faced many persecutions from other religious leaders and groups. Did persecution stop? No! We still hear that many today's pastors faced persecutions because of their faiths in Jesus Christ. We want to thank God that we have American Center for Law and Justice to assist them to protect their Christian faiths. But ACLJ has limited resources for you to be a witness for Jesus Christ. Even though we believe that our nation was built by the biblical principles, it doesn't guarantee that we wouldn't face tribulations in our lives.

Look America today. This nation has turned against God more aggressively every day. Our primetime TV programs have filled with violence, sex, and foul languages rather than they are for family and children. Today's education system is filled with other religious and moral values than Christian and family values. If the child would draw a picture of Christian symbol, then the child would get trouble by her/his teacher. However, when the child would draw her Islamic or other religious symbols, then it doesn't matter as long as it's not related to Christianity. Churches have compromised with the world; we may don't realize what the truth is.

We have lost to reach other parts of the world to share the Good News of Jesus Christ. Nowadays, many preachers use satellite to reach other locations to preach the Gospel. Some American preachers, such as Bishop TD Jake, have three or four churches that use the satellite for him to do church services from his main location. We have to be like disciples, who travelled hundred or more miles with their feet, to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Thank God that we have airplane to travel to the next

destination, but we need to get dirty to do the Great Commission (Mathew 28:18-20). We need to make our standards higher. God doesn't want us to be lazy on the Lazy Boy furniture. We are His voice to share the messages on the grace of God through Jesus Christ. When we accept Jesus as our personal Savior, we become priests to represent God.

For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation." There is no sinner prayer formula. Instead, you just talk to God at where you are now. Secondly, I'd like to encourage you to find a good solid biblical teaching church and Christian friends. They can help you to build strong relationship with God. If you'd need further assistance, you can email me at mgjcministries@mgjcweb.org or visit my ministries website at www.mgjcweb.org for further resources.

The Early Church Eras (Acts 1:6-7): Time is Ticking
Topic: Act of Apostles
When they therefore were come together, they asked of him, saying, Lord, wilt thou at this time restore again the kingdom to Israel? And he said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power. (Acts 1:6-7 KJV)

In this passage, we see that the disciples asked a question concerning the nearness of Christ’s literal kingdom, which it is not incongruous with Old Testament promises (Is. 9:6, 7; Dan. 2:44, 45), nor with the gospel teachings (Luke 19:11; 21:31; 22:18). In Matthew 24, Jesus gave them a long sermon about His second coming. Again, as we see, these disciples were concerning about the timing of the event.

I believe that Jesus didn’t give us time of His returning for following reasons:

1)     God called us to spread the Gospel to whole nations without for us to worry about timing.

2)     If God would announce His date of returning, Satan would be ready to fight against Him.

However, Jesus left us some signs before His returning. First, He left us the sign of Israel. Since the people of Israel reestablished their land as nation in 1948, they are still dealing with issues from other nation. Ezekiel 38-39 predicts that the nations from north would plan to attack Israel and start Battle of Armageddon.

Why the whole world would attack Israel? First, it’s a battle between God against Satan. Second, there was a history of family rivalry since the lives of Abraham and Sarah. Even though God had a plan for their lives, Abraham and Sarah decided to have a child through their Egyptian servant, Hagar (Hebrew word for wandering). Hagar became a mother of Ishmael by Abraham, which represents the world. Due to their disobedience, their two children, Ishmael and Isaac, split into two separate families, which resulted in the birth of two nations—Israel and Arab nations. Even today, we continue to see that the Arabs and Israelite nations continue to fight against each other. This is why the two nations continue to feud in Israel. As Apostle Paul declares in Galatians 4:22, “…that Abraham had two sons, the one by a bondmaid, the other by a freewoman.” He was referring to Hagar (mother of Ishmael), who represented the bondmaid and Sarah (mother of Isaac) as the freewoman.

We currently see that our relationship with the Israelite nation is not doing well. President Obama currently pushes Israel to give up their land to Palestine. When the Israelite Prime Minister visit and spoke to US Congress, President Obama was absent from his presence; then, he did not follow through with the Prime Minister. What’s wrong with this picture?

We need to reestablish our relationship with the people of Israel. As we see from this past Friday, we let our Supreme Court ruled over homosexual agenda. Now, people can have marriage with same sex, children, or animal. If you read the fine print of this law, it’s more than gay marriage. We let the sin take over this godly nation.

Now, we, as body of Christ, need to wake ourselves up and spread the Good News of Jesus Christ throughout the land. It’s ashamed for us to see that other nations come to do evangelization, even though we have churches in every corner throughout all 50 states.

The Early Church Eras (Acts 1:4-5): Promise of the Holy Spirit

And, being assembled together with them, commanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem, but wait for the promise of the Father, which, saith he, ye have heard of me. For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence. (Acts 1:4-5 KJV)

The first two previous messages were the brief introduction of the Book of Acts. Again, the original title of this book had been Acts of the Apostles. In the sequel to his first book, Luke wrote about how the Christianity had been populated throughout the world, began in Jerusalem. The word church is not about the building, as we see in verse 4, but have assembly with other people together to encourage and have fellowship each other. As I said in the previous message, Jesus began the church movement and not Peter.

After Jesus ascent to Heaven, the eleven disciples stayed at Jerusalem band wait for the Holy Spirit to come to them. Wait a minute. Have we forgotten one person here? There were eleven disciples, because Judas Iscariot decided to suicide himself after he arrested Jesus to Pharisees. Even though he made a bad decision, we want to give him a credit. If Jesus didn’t die on the cross, the first messianic prophecy (Genesis 3:15) wouldn’t come true. But, mostly, our faiths in Christ would become useless.

Why Jesus told them to wait in Jerusalem for the Holy Spirit? In John 14:26 says, “But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.” The word for Comforter, it means one’s aid; one who pleads another’s cause before a judge, a pleader, counsel for defense, legal assistant, an advocate (Enhanced Strong’s Lexicon). The disciples cannot be witnesses to the world without further assistance. So, Jesus promised to send Helper for their advanced training. So that they can witness to the world about Jesus the Messiah. Luke 24:46-49 says, ”And said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behoved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day: And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem. And ye are witnesses of these things. And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high.” Also, Matthew 28:18-20 says, “And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.”

The Great Commission, Jesus left, didn’t end at Acts 28. It still goes on until Jesus would return to the world. In the meantime, we need to be in workforce by building godly relationship each other on a regular basis. We are called to be children of God and He is our Father, who created us. We need to be connected with God and other people. We can’t do that until our willingness is involved. We need to encourage and assist each other; let the Holy Spirit assists us; and let God works in us.

The Early Church Eras (Acts 1:1-4): Background of the Book of Acts II
Topic: Act of Apostles

The former treatise have I made, O Theophilus, of all that Jesus began both to do and teach, Until the day in which he was taken up, after that he through the Holy Ghost had given commandments unto the apostles whom he had chosen: To whom also he shewed himself alive after his passion by many infallible proofs, being seen of them forty days, and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God: And, being assembled together with them, commanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem, but wait for the promise of the Father, which, saith he, ye have heard of me. (Acts 1:1-4 KJV)

The church didn’t begin in the Book of Acts. It began with Jesus’ announcement about building a church in Matthew 16:18. Matthew 16:18 is the misinterpret about the establishment of the church. If you’d ask Roman Catholic Church who built a church, they will say Apostle Peter, because Jesus gave him the keys of the kingdom of heaven (Matthew 16:19). However, Jesus didn’t ask Peter to become a pope of the church. If we look up the word church in Greek, it means “a gathering of citizens called out from their homes into some public place.” This is why Luke said in Acts 1:4, “And, being assembled together with them, commanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem.”

The biblical scholar believed that Luke wrote his second book, The Acts of the Apostles, from 62 AD to the middle of the second century. Bruce Wilkinson and Kenneth Boa explained, “Twentieth-century archaeological discoveries have strikingly confirmed the trustworthiness and precision of Luke as a historian and show that his work should be dated in the first century. Luke’s perplexingly abrupt ending with Paul awaiting trial in Rome has led many to believe that Acts was completed prior to Paul’s trial (a.d. 62). If it was written after this crucial event, why didn’t Luke mention the outcome? Luke may have had a reason, but the simplest explanation of his silence is that Paul had not yet stood before Caesar. Acts gives no hint of the persecution under Nero (a.d. 64), Paul’s death (a.d. 68), or the destruction of Jerusalem (a.d. 70).” (Talk thru the Bible.)

The Acts is the historical link between the Gospels and the Epistles. Throughout this book, we shall see many works of the Holy Spirit who work through the apostles. Jesus promised in John 14:26, “But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.” Again in Mark 16:15-18, “Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.” The Book of Acts is still unfold church history book until God would close the book.

There is one survey that indicates American churches are going more into secular. Prophecy News Watch wrote, “Pew conducted two surveys between 2007 and 2014 on religion in America and discovered the number of Americans who claim atheism, agnosticism, or no particular faith grew from 16 percent to 23 percent. During that time frame, the number of Americans laying claim to Christianity fell from 78 percent to 71 percent.” As we see in today’s society, we usually don’t hear enough about people are getting saved and heal the sick than in the previous generations. If we’d look up the history during 1800s or earlier, we noticed that many people received the gift of salvation and healing. They heard more uncompromising messages from the pulpit than in this generation. Nowadays, most preachers may don’t preach about sin, hell, repentance, and God’s wrath anymore. American government slowly begins to prejudice against Christians if we’d preach against the homosexual marriage and LGBT activists’ agendas.

We need to stand firm more than ever. Within twenty or fifty years from now, our Christian freedom would become useless in this country. The government may give us to accept the faith in Antichrist or face the death penalty because of our faiths in Jesus Christ.

Where are you? I’m not just writing this blog to help you to understand the history of Christianity. We need to prepare whatever problem this world would give us. We are living in a sinful world until God would refurnish this world and make it as Garden of Eden again.

Do you have your relationship with the Heavenly Father? If not, I like to encourage you to develop your personal relationship with Jesus Christ today. First, confess your sins and invite Jesus Christ to your life. The Early Church Eras (Acts 1:1-3): Background of the Book of Acts I
Topic: Act of Apostles

The former treatise have I made, O Theophilus, of all that Jesus began both to do and teach, Until the day in which he was taken up, after that he through the Holy Ghost had given commandments unto the apostles whom he had chosen: To whom also he shewed himself alive after his passion by many infallible proofs, being seen of them forty days, and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God… (Acts 1:1-3 KJV)

Last four messages, which I blogged, was on the end time. Even though we don’t know the date and hour of Jesus’ returning to the earth, we must be prepared to meet Him. As we read in Matthew 25, there are two groups of people to meet the Lord Jesus Christ. Yet, as we see the result, the first five of people made to the wedding feast and another group had missed their opportunities to the feast due to their laziness.

In this new series, we will look at the history of Christianity in early church era to our generation. I believe that we are the last generation before the return of Jesus Christ. As the clock is ticking, we physically see what is happening in Middle East today, especially in Israel. Our own president (Obama) has shown disgraced to the people of Israel; and our nation continued to go far away from God by legalizing every ungodly laws for the people can abide into. Our Supreme Court system had been messed up that our judges don’t know what is right from wrong. Our public educational system is corrupted by removing God (Jesus Christ) from the Christian students; and bringing other religious systems into campuses. We continue see the progress of deception in our churches, homes, and politic arenas. Again, Paul said in I Timothy 4:1-3, “Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron; Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth.” We need to search the scriptures daily (Acts 7:11), so that we can be witnesses to those who don’t know our Lord.

The Book of Acts is a continuation from the Gospel of Saint Luke. In his first book, Luke wrote very in-depth details of our Lord’s birth, ministry, death, and resurrection. Theophilus probably was a Roman official, since Luke designates him as “most excellent Theophilus” (Luke 1:3). The Greek term (kratistos) is used only three other times in the New Testament. Each of these is used to address a Roman official: Felix (23:26; 24:3) and Festus (26:25). One of facts in this book is that Luke did not conclude the church era entirely. The church era has not ended until Jesus would return to the earth and take His Church to His wedding feast.

Originally, this book was called The Act of Apostles. But all available Greek manuscripts designated it by the title Praxeis or Acts. This Greek word was commonly used in Greek literature to summarize the accomplishments of outstanding men. While the apostles are mentioned collectively at several points, the book really split into two parts, the acts of Peter (1–12) and of Paul (13–28).

In the next session, as we continue to study Acts 1:1-3, we want to know who started the church. Was it was built by Peter or Jesus? This is a conflict issue between Roman Catholic Church and Protestant Church.

Signs of the End Time (Part IV): Is the America in God’s Eyes?
Topic: End of the Age

For thus saith the LORD of hosts; After the glory hath he sent me unto the nations which spoiled you: for he that toucheth you toucheth the apple of his eye. For, behold, I will shake mine hand upon them, and they shall be a spoil to their servants: and ye shall know that the LORD of hosts hath sent me. (Zechariah 2:8-9 KJV)

Most biblical prophecy teachers are trying to figure out where is the United States in the end time. Even though there is no indication that the U.S. in the Holy Bible, it doesn’t mean that she would escape from the wrath of God. I Peter 4:17 declares, “For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God…” Don’t make mistakes that God would give our nation up after He tried to reestablish His relationship with her. Instead, He still loves us and likes to have relationship with each of us.

Right now, our nation is becoming as other pagan nations by choosing ungodly ways to lead this nation. Currently, our nation doesn’t look good with Israel. In May 7, 2015 Prophecy News said, “US President Barack Obama did not wait for Binyamin Netanyahu to finish building his new government coalition by its deadline at midnight Wednesday, May 6, before going into action to pay him back for forming a right-wing cabinet minus any moderate figure for resuming negotiations with the Palestinians." (Read The Final Poke In God's Eye? - Obama To Support Palestinian State At UN Security Council.) If President Obama would discontinue working with the Israelis Prime Minister, we would go into deep hole of God’s wrath. I don’t like to say this, but that is where our nation going.

Over the last 12 months or more, I read across to many articles that our nation is legalizing homosexual marriage, marijuana, and more. Since the U.S. has been legalized the pro-choice (abortion), for example, many unborn children hadn’t seen the light of God’s creation in this world. We have been broken the sixth law of the Ten Commandments, which says, “Thou shalt not kill.” Many school children are learning about witchcraft through Henry Potter book series; and Christian children cannot pray and read His Words in the public schools. Why? The church has been silenced and let the LGBT activists come out from the closet.

Apostle Paul said in I Timothy 4:1-3, “Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron; Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth.”

As the end time prophecy is continuing fulfilled, we have to choose to be family with God or with the world. James 4:4 says, “…know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.” Our nation is in a sticky situation now. We cannot escape from the wrath of God until we put Him first in our life. Are you ready to meet the Lord Jesus Christ when He would return for His Church? If not, I like to encourage you to develop your personal relationship with Jesus Christ today. First, confess your sins and invite Jesus Christ to your life. Paul said in Romans 10:9-11, “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. Signs of the End Time (Part III): Days of Deception
Topic: End of the Age
That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand. Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God. (II Thessalonians 2:2-4 KJV)

I believe that we are in a critical time in the world history. There had been many deceptions taken places over the entertainment, news, and religious media. If we turn to news, we may hear that one of our politicians have some problems with his criminal charges that he tried to hide from the media. Also, it’s happening in today’s churches. Do you know why televangelist programs spend more times with selling their products than sharing the gospel messages of Jesus Christ? Or why they are promoting themselves more than Jesus Christ?

If we study why some churches have impacted with some thousands people weekly, we would find out whole purpose is not about worshipping God, but seeking God’s blessing for our needs. Remember, during the Old Testament era, people of Israel faced several sticky situations because they relied on their own government rather than God. As a result, God disciplined them by taking them into captivity.

In II Thessalonians 2 is all about the strong delusion at the end time. If we read verse 11, there would be a strong delusion that sends by God for people to believe. Even today, we some of us may fall into delusion that is created by government, community, nation, or ourselves. I don’t like to mention that our nation is continuing fall apart from God because we deceive ourselves by relying on our government. Verse 12 says, “That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.”

So, what we can do to stand against the delusion? We can’t stop from happening during the last day. We need to prepare ourselves to be at the forefront of the spiritual battle (Ephesians 6:10-18). The battle is not ours, but God’s (I Samuel 17:47). We cannot be deceived by anything if we rely on God. Right now, our nation is messed because we believe some lies by our people. However, we can lead the people into God’s direction by sharing His love and good news through His Son, Jesus Christ.

Signs of the End Time (Part II): Sign of the Coming of Antichrist

And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world. (I John 4:3 KJV)

Over the years, many biblical and secular scholars have guessed who would be the world dictator that would control the whole world. Some of them said President Barack Obama since he is the first African-American candidate got elected to the White House and is appealing to the world, especially Arab nation. Some said Prince Charles of England or Pope Frances. In fact, there have been many spectacular over the Catholic popes over the years. No ones would find out who would be the Antichrist that would control the world, yet, the Bible gives us many hints about him.

Let’s go back to Isaiah 14:12-14, which says, “How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations! For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north: I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High.” As I said in the first part of this series, Satan’s main goal is trying to be more powerful emperor than God. In the Book of Ezekiel said that he was once an angel of God. As the time went on, he tried to compete against God; and he failed to be with His other messengers (Job 1-2).

As we read in 1 John 4, we understand that the antichrist (Satan) knows who God is. By the way, the Greek word for antichrist is antichristos, which means the adversary of the Messiah. He is the antagonist. We read in Genesis 3 that he was trying to be smart as God by tempting Eve, which he won on that round. If Eve would be obedience to God completely, we would not see all the mess that we see today. However, God is in control. His time is not like ours. We read that Satan has very limited power over the world.

In Revelation 13, we see that he would curse at God, do miracles and wonders, and can control the economy system. He cannot just appear to the world scene until the ten nations come together to form the New World Order (government, religion, and economy). Even though our pastors may don’t preach on this very important subject, we see the progress of the biblical prophecy is beginning to fulfill. There are very few churches that stand for the truth like the church in Philadelphia (Revelation 3:7-13).

Even though I am not called to be a biblical prophecy scholar, we all need to know some signs of the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. Jesus left us very important signs of His coming before He returned to Heaven. We have duty to carry His messages out to the world. Jesus said in Matthew 24:14, “And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.”

Signs of the End Time (Part I)
Topic: End of the Age

And Jesus went out, and departed from the temple: and his disciples came to him for to shew him the buildings of the temple. And Jesus said unto them, See ye not all these things? verily I say unto you, There shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down. And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world? (Matthew 24:1-3)

In Matthew 24, Jesus told His disciples about things to come. Remember, Jesus had not glorify Himself from the dead yet. This sermon was before He faced horrible death penalty that He had ever faced. Why Jesus told these future prophecies to His disciples? Can these prophetic words reliable to our generation? If we look Matthew 24 more closely, we will find some of the events had already fulfilled after Jesus ascent to the heaven, some are already progressing, and has not fulfilled yet. When we read and watch our daily news, we see the progression of the bible prophecy. For example, few years ago, one of the Virginia State Delegates received the legislation to pass the bill for all the Virginians to receive the microchip in their skins. As I read one of the articles in my local newspaper, one of the delegates stood against the idea of this microchip, which we recognize as the Mark of Beast (Revelation 13). Using the technology is good thing. However, if the technology that relates to globalization or UN is meaning serious business, which it could lead us into the Antichrist. This may be same with UN disability treaty (Convention on the Rights of People with Disabilities), which it has not passed through US Senate yet.

But we first will discuss on the deception within the churches. Jesus warned us in John 14:30, “Hereafter I will not talk much with you: for the prince of this world cometh, and hath nothing in me.” Who is the prince of this world? Even though God originated this world, the world is partially dominated by Satan. But, as we read in Job 1-2, Satan cannot dominates anything until he’d receive permission from God. His goal is trying to be higher than God as we see in Isaiah 14:12-14: “How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations! For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north: I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High.”

Sadly, there are many churches have failed into the devil’s method of deception. If we’d wonder how our education system is messed up, because we have not stand for the truth. Look into our government system and see how our current leaders stand for the ungodly laws because of our actions. Our current president has decided to support Palestine to take over the land of Israel. It is sad enough for Obama to make our nation as socialism through his healthcare law, but let God’s enemies to take over His Holy Land of Israel. God said in Genesis 12:3: “And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.”

Right now, we have a president, who likes to please everyone, except God, truly born-again Christians, and unborn children. If we look back through the last two or three decades, our nation has been kept loosing Christianity heritage. If the person is in America, he or she automatically becomes Christian. As we may have noticed in any religion book, we don’t see a chapter on Roman Catholicism, because it has been blended with the Christianity for over 1500 years. Now, we do same thing with Islam. Some churches already have combined with the Islamic group and came up a name with Chrislam. That’s where TBN has started to sell some products on Islam.

Antichrist cannot arrive until the deception would be taken places. Revelation 13 tells us that he would do miracles and wonders. “And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority (13:2).” Most today’s televangelists have loose the meat part of the Word of God. Now, most of their sermons on how God bless us. Look some today’s preachers, such as Joel Osteen, Joyce Myer, Benny Hinn, and Kenneth Copland. They spent about 95% of preaching on things we need and 5% on God’s. Paul warned us in II Timothy 4:3-4, “For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.” This is why I don’t give their references on my ministry blog.

Let me ask you a question. Who is Jesus Christ?
Topic: Gospel
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. In him was life; and the life was the light of men. And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not. (John 1:1-5 KJV)

It is very obvious that many of us may believe that Jesus was born on the first Christmas. However, if we read all four gospel accounts in the New Testament, there is no single mentioned that Jesus was born during the winter season, but during the springtime (see Luke 2:1-15). “…the early church did not celebrate Christ's birth, but such celebration only came into the church with the ‘Christianization’ of pagan rites as Catholicism was made the state religion by Constantine in the fourth century A.D.” (Should a Christian Celebrate Christmas?.) There are other reasons about why few Christian churches do not celebrate this modern day Christian holiday. For more exploration on this subject, please visit MGJC Web Ministries at www.mgjcweb.org and click Holidays.

Apostle Paul proclaimed that Jesus was the beginning of everything in heaven and in earth (Colossians 1:15-17). This confirms what John said about the Word (Logo). Jesus came to the world, so He can lead us to the light from the darkness of our sins. He said in John 3:16-17, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.” I have heard one of the televangelists said that Jesus only taught about the kingdom of heaven, not about Himself. This is non-sense. Throughout the Gospel of John, we read that Jesus is the way, life, resurrection, shepherd, and more. We can put our values as the first priority, but there is no hope for us to receive eternal security than through Jesus Christ. I love what Paul said in Romans 5:8, “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” There is no other substitution to receive that kind of love.

I don’t mind how Christians suppose to celebrate Christmas, but it is our responsibility to turn on our lights on other persons to show the way to have personal relationship with God.

Now Playing: The Road to the Gift of Salvation
Topic: Gospel

Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved. (Acts 4:12 KJV)

It is significant that the most people want to go to Heaven, but they don’t like to see the death bed. Instead, they believe that there are many ways to Heaven. Operah Winfrey, President Barak Obama, Faith Building Pastor Joe Osteen and some today’s evangelical preachers said that there are other ways to God. Why?

Even though many evangelical preachers may believe that they preach the truth of the Words of God, they may use a very small percentage of the biblical references in their sermon. It is sad that the most televangelists teach on Christian living and how to become rich beings. When I listen to Joe Osteen’s messages, I hardly hear messages on salvation, spiritual discernment, sins, God’s wrath, and His discipline methods toward us. Listen to what Joe Osteen told in his interview with Larry King on June 20, 2005:

KING: But you're not fire and brimstone, right? You're not pound the decks and hell and dam nation?

OSTEEN: No. That's not me. It's never been me. I've always been an encourager at heart. And when I took over from my father he came from the Southern Baptist background and back 40, 50 years ago there was a lot more of that. But, you know, I just -- I don't believe in that. I don't believe -- maybe it was for a time. But I don't have it in my heart to condemn people. I'm there to encourage them. I see myself more as a coach, as a motivator to help them experience the life God has for us.

Motivator speaker? Even though we need to hear some encouragement words from the pastor, we also need to hear the message on the negative side, so we could be aware of our actions toward God and people. Throughout the books of Gospel, we read that the most teachings of Jesus are about the hell and sin. About nine years later of Osteen’s interview with Larry King, his preaching method didn’t change much. Without the biblical discernment message, the church maybe in a high risk of losing their gift of salvation and spend eternity with God. Building a multibillionaire mega church doesn’t mean that the preacher proclaims the truth. Paul said in II Timothy 4:3-4, “For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.” We need both encouraging and discernment messages in order to retain our gifts of salvation and do our parts.

Jesus said in John 8:12, “I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.” Praying a Rose Mary Prayer or Lord’s Prayer doesn’t guarantee that God is listening to our prayer. The gift of salvation means that we have totally accessed to Him. We do not need to have appointment with priests or pastors to confess our sins. That was from the Old Testament era. The priest or pastor does not have the power to forgive our sins, but he can show us how to pray to God. Jesus said in John 11:25-26, “I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?” Not Virgin Mother Mary, Buddha, Hindu, or any gods that were created by men can save us from the darkness of sins. Only Jesus. He is the only Savior who can forgive our sins and lead us to the light. Even though Virgin Mary gave Jesus a birth, it doesn’t mean that she is the mother of Church. There is no biblical reference that God gave Mary this divine power. We need to give respect to Virgin Mary, but it doesn’t mean that we need to worship and pray to her. Otherwise, we would be breaking the one of the Ten Commandments if we’d idolize Mary as co-equal with God.

Let me ask you a question. Sanctification of the Cross
Topic: Gospel

By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all. And every priest standeth daily ministering and offering oftentimes the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins: But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God… (Hebrews 10:10-12 KJV)

Why Jesus died on the cross? The Bible said that He faced the most painful death penalty ever. Isaiah 53:3-5 says, “He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not. Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.” He didn’t deserve the painful capitol punishment for our sins, but He did. Paul said in Romans 5:8, “…God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”

Hebrews 10:10 said that “we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.” His death set free us from sins. His death drew us near to God. Jesus didn’t just hang on the cross and died. I have hardly to see the cross with Jesus on the church wall. This shows some humiliation. The Bible said that after Jesus died on the cross, He resurrected back to life with His new body. Even though His scars were still in His hands and feet, He received His new physical body. We cannot comprehend on this until we, too, would receive our new bodies. I encourage you to read I Corinthians 15 to see some glimpses of what our new bodies look like.

The death and resurrection of Jesus Christ helps us to reunite with God. We need to separate ourselves from the darkness of sins. We can’t do this ourselves until the Holy Spirit would intervene with us. Romans 8:26 says, “…for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.” We can have experienced eternal life with God now, not just waiting for God would take us to Heaven.
