Seek the Kingdom of God
Topic: New Year

But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof. (Matthew 6:33-34 KJV)

Even though the origin of the New Year's Day arrived from the pagan religion, we need to seek God to start the Year 2017. Most preachers may tell us to sow money into their ministries, so God can bless us financially. That may be truth, but it's wrong idea for God can bless us. Jesus said that we don't need to worry about our future, because He can take care of us right now and the next day can take care by itself. We need too seek God's face rather than His hands. I don't like to watch televangelists TV-a-Thon on the first couple months of the year. They are asking for money to support their TV ministries. Even though churches need our financial support, God doesn't need our money, we need to obey His command.

I understand that we are in a difficult spot as President Obama recently has betrayed the people of Israel and our nation has allied with Palestinians before he would finish his presidency term. I don't know if Trump could restore from this tragedy. But there is nothing that God cannot do. He can do anything. But we need to pray to God to bring back our ally.

What is your agenda for 2017? The word "prosperity" means more than gaining worldly fame, wealth, and power. Jesus asked in Mark 8:36-37, "For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?" Even we can have anything that this world has, but without Jesus Christ in our lives, it means that we don't have one-on-one relationship with Him. Instead, we will become trash to Him and we would end in Hell. God can bring prosperity to every parts of our lives--spiritually, physically, materially, health and wellness.

Let 2017 would be the best year of our lives.

Are you saved? Are your love ones and friends saved in the grace of God through Jesus Christ? The purpose of this article is to help you to become closer relationship with Jesus Christ. As Jesus said, "Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God; trust also in me. In my Father's house are many rooms, if it were not so, I would have told you. I am going there to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am." (John 14:1-3.)

If you are lukewarm in your relationship with Jesus Christ and want to know Him as your personal Savior and Lord of your life, please consider asking Him to forgive your sins and invite Him into your life. Paul says, "That if you confess with your mouth, `Jesus is Lord,' and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believed and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved." (Romans 10:9-10.) If you have done in your private room or workplace, then you need to tell to your friends or love ones about what you have done, so they may rejoice with you and want to have that relationship with Christ in their own life. There are many occults in the world, which do not know the love of God and His great plan for those who believe in Him. As it is written in John 3:16, "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life."

God's Unspeakable Gift for Us

Thanks be unto God for his unspeakable gift. (2 Corinthians 9:15 KJV)

In this message, I'm not going to share traditional Christmas message or speculation of behind this holiday. Some of us may know that Christian holidays arrived from the paganism through Roman Catholicism. If you like to know more in-depth to Christian holidays, you can visit my web page at www.mgjcweb.org and click Holiday link.

What do you thank God for? Paul began to address how God is able to make all grace abound toward each of us (2 Corinthians 9:8). As we are  celebrating this Christmas season, we need to remind ourselves the greatest gift that God gave us is His love for the world. Romans 5:8 says, "But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." There are no other gods who have faced a such suffering as Jesus did. Acts 4:10-12 declares, "Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole. This is the stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner. Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved."

John 3:16 tells us that God so loves the world that He brought His Son to the world, so that we may believe in Him to have everlasting life. We could follow other religions, such as Roman Catholicism, Hinduism, Islam, or Jehovah Witness, but they may not satisfy us. All these religions require our works to satisfy our spiritual beings. James 2:17-18 says, "Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone. Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works." Even though Mother Teresa showed many good works before her death, did she have a strong relationship with Jesus Christ? The teaching of Catholicism is by works to get for the person to get to the kingdom of God, which it constricts with the Bible. We can't earn to enter to God's kingdom by doing good works.  Over 2000 years ago, God's Son, Jesus, came to the earth to die for our sins. Even we had so many debts in our credit cards, for example, somebody was willing to pay all of our debts without penalty.

Although Jesus didn't born on December 25th, God gave each of us precious gifts for us to glorify Him. It is important how we use it.

Leadership 102: Subject to the Authority
Topic: Leadership Training

Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God. Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God: and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation. (Romans 13:1-2 KJV)

We have less than 48 hours to select our next president. It will be tough for us to elect which candidate should govern our land for next four to eight years. We have one candidate who wants to turn this nation around; and another who wants to keep going with our current president's agenda. Even though our nation has been greatest country of the world, beside Israel, it is also a divided nation of the world. Our nation has been divided that many people suffered and killed by their own people. There has been a lot of unborn children haven't seen the light of the world because of abortion that their parents have made. Nowadays, many children have confused with their identies.

I understand we must be followed under our government's authority. But when it constricts with God's authority, we must turn to God. He has final to say so.

For this week and on, we must pray and fast for our nation. Even though which candidate would sit on White House, we must ask God to lead him/her into right path for the nation. Right now, it's chaos with so many divisions within family, community, church, and government. We need to put God in our nation. It is not enough for us to elect next leader for our nation. Look changes that our current president has made. Everything his changes have made for this nation is becoming lawless or the day of Sodom and Gomorrah.

I don't know who do you vote for on Tuesday, but we must check with God first. He has final words to say so.

Are you saved? Are your love ones and friends saved in the grace of God through Jesus Christ? The purpose of this article is to help you to become closer relationship with Jesus Christ. Leadership Skills 101: Be Strong and Good Encourager
Topic: Leadership Training

There shall not any man be able to stand before thee all the days of thy life: as I was with Moses, so I will be with thee: I will not fail thee, nor forsake thee. Be strong and of a good courage: for unto this people shalt thou divide for an inheritance the land, which I sware unto their fathers to give them. Only be thou strong and very courageous, that thou mayest observe to do according to all the law, which Moses my servant commanded thee: turn not from it to the right hand or to the left, that thou mayest prosper whithersoever thou goest. (Joshua 1:5-7 KJV)

The Book of Joshua begins with mentioning the death of Moses and God passed his leadership role to his successor, Joshua the sun of Nun (Joshua 1:1). God still wanted to take His people to Promise Land that filled with plenty food and land. He didn't want to leave them in the wilderness, even though it took them for 40 years to the land due to their disobedience. Even though Israel failed to trust on God, He didn't leave them. Instead, God appointed Joshua to lead His people to the land that flow with honey and milk. He told Joshua, "Be strong and of a good courage: for unto this people shalt thou divide for an inheritance the land, which I sware unto their fathers to give them. Only be thou strong and very courageous, that thou mayest observe to do according to all the law, which Moses my servant commanded thee: turn not from it to the right hand or to the left, that thou mayest prosper whithersoever thou goest." (Joshua 1:6-7)

Even though we have embassy for each country of the world and great military leaders around the world, it doesn't means that we are free from problems. Sadly, our governmental system is continuing split up. If you have hardly agree with me, then look it up on the daily news. We are now, which I believe, number 1 to murder unborn babies through funding from Planned Parenthood. In fact, during Obama administration, we continue to see that our Christian values are becoming weaker. Instead, President Obama has kept advocating for ungodly laws, such as abortion, homosexual marriage, LGBT, transgender, and more. Our national's relationship with Israel is weaker.

We need to stand and fast for our homeland. As God told Joshua, we need to be strong and very courageous. The whole Book of Joshua is about Israel's conquest for their land. God gave Joshua very important instruction of how to own the land. We are in a war between good and evil until Jesus Christ would take everything over His control. In the meantime, we continue to fight the good fight of faith (I Timothy 6:12).

Seek the Lord
Topic: Relationship

Seek ye the Lord while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near… (Isaiah 55:6 KJV)

Jesus said in Matthew 6:33, "But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you." Let me ask you a question. When you are in a trouble situation, who do you call first? Most of us may try to solve the sticky situation on our own strength. If our ways to solve the issue are not working, we may call our people and then God. We usually call God as last source. It's sad situation, but we call for His assistance as a good luck charm.

Nowadays, if we'd go to Christian bookstore, we may find more book on self-help books than how we can have closer relationship with God. It's all about me, my life, and my riches of fame. We pray to God when we are in a sticky situation. It's all great, but God is not a magic genie. God is our Father, who already has adopted us into His family. Paul said in Romans 8: 15, "For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father."

I like to use the social media to communicate with my family and friends. But it's not enough. We need more interaction each other than just typing words on the computer screen. God created us to have relationship with Him and each other.

We need to seek God's face daily rather than His hands. Even though He can bless us with our material needs, He really wants to have the personal relationship with each of us.
