The Beginning of Fall
Topic: Failure

Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden? (Genesis 3:1 KJV)

Before we would understand the skill to overcome the spiritual warfare, we need to go back in Genesis 3 to find why we have battle in our lives. The sinful nature began with Lucifer, not Adam or Eve. Even though they decided to choose Lucifer’s way of living, we should not blame Adam and Eve for our sins.

God created us not as robots, but as humans that have freedom of choices. He wants us to have the freedom of minds to worship God. This way He can have relationship with us individually. How can God have relationship with us if we are His robots? Now, we have movies that scientists can make robots from dead person, such as Robot Cop and Inspector Gadget. If these are our gods, we would have hard time to love them, because they were born from our hands and their feelings are made from what we want to expect for them to return. There are no surprises of feelings.

Lucifer was one of God’s messengers. He created Lucifer from His image. He gave him the freedom to worship Him, but Lucifer decided to be equal with God. In Isaiah 14:12-14 states, “How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations! For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north: I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High.”

Note: Some Bible versions state “O Lucifer, son of star,” but “morning” (KJV) is the correct title for Lucifer.

If we read Genesis 3 account, we see that Lucifer (or serpent) was trying to trick Eve by twisting God’s words. As a result, Eve fell terribly into the devil’s trap and she passed it to her husband, Adam; and God took them away from the paradise, Garden of Eden.

Note: Garden of Eden is the same description of our future home in Revelation.

We all have experienced the fall as Adam and Eve experienced. Our falls to sin are occurred because we let Satan into our lives. We must understand that Satan cannot control our minds until we let him enter into our lives. Adam and Eve fell into sins miserably because their hearts and minds were not on God, but on the tree of knowledge of good and evil (Genesis 2:9).

Have you been into temptation? If you are into temptation of any kind, there is a way to escape from it and back on track again. Jesus prayed, “I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil (John 17:15).” Even though we cannot escape from temptation that Satan is waiting to give us, we have the power to overcome from his trap with the help from God the Father through Jesus Christ.

Power of Strength
Topic: Failure
I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me. (Philippians
4:13 KJV)

Have you ever fail to accomplish tasks in your life? If you ever to incomplete your tasks to reach your destiny, you are not alone. There is no one go through the task without experiencing failure. Paul says that we all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23). If you are in physical situation, there is a moment that you want to quit in the midst of crisis. I have been there.
Unfortunately, we may not to choose to go to the road of failure. We all can have the power of strength to overcome any obstacle that comes to our lives. Others may tell us to quit because we don’t have energy to overcome it. That is what Satan wants us to be. But the Holy Scriptures tell us we can overcome any obstacle with the help of God. Philippians 4:13 is the key for Paul’s obstacles. We can call upon Jesus to ask for help.
There are too many churches who pray hard to God to receive some answers to their life crises without asking Him first. God may accept our immediate requests, but He will not always to give answers to what we need. We have to work on our parts to our prayer requests and then He can give us the second half to our requests.
We cannot receive the power of strength from God until we’d do our parts. Even though we may cry hard to Him for our needs to be met, He still may hold the answer to release upon us until we’d do our parts.
We need to learn how to fail and get back on track again first. God knows what we’d need before we would ask Him. But God wants us to learn from our own mistakes before we’d cry to Him.
