Seek the Lord
Topic: Relationship

Seek ye the Lord while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near… (Isaiah 55:6 KJV)

Jesus said in Matthew 6:33, "But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you." Let me ask you a question. When you are in a trouble situation, who do you call first? Most of us may try to solve the sticky situation on our own strength. If our ways to solve the issue are not working, we may call our people and then God. We usually call God as last source. It's sad situation, but we call for His assistance as a good luck charm.

Nowadays, if we'd go to Christian bookstore, we may find more book on self-help books than how we can have closer relationship with God. It's all about me, my life, and my riches of fame. We pray to God when we are in a sticky situation. It's all great, but God is not a magic genie. God is our Father, who already has adopted us into His family. Paul said in Romans 8: 15, "For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father."

I like to use the social media to communicate with my family and friends. But it's not enough. We need more interaction each other than just typing words on the computer screen. God created us to have relationship with Him and each other.

We need to seek God's face daily rather than His hands. Even though He can bless us with our material needs, He really wants to have the personal relationship with each of us.

Are you saved? Are your love ones and friends saved in the grace of God through Jesus Christ? The purpose of this article is to help you to become closer relationship with Jesus Christ. As Jesus said, "Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God; trust also in me. In my Father's house are many rooms, if it were not so, I would have told you. I am going there to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am." (John 14:1-3.)

If you are lukewarm in your relationship with Jesus Christ and want to know Him as your personal Savior and Lord of your life, please consider asking Him to forgive your sins and invite Him into your life. Paul says, "That if you confess with your mouth, `Jesus is Lord,' and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believed and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved." (Romans 10:9-10.) If you have done in your private room or workplace, then you need to tell to your friends or love ones about what you have done, so they may rejoice with you and want to have that relationship with Christ in their own life. There are many occults in the world, which do not know the love of God and His great plan for those who believe in Him. As it is written in John 3:16, "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life."

Repent Our Sins to God
Topic: Relationship

And saying, Repent ye: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand. (Matthew 3:2 KJV)

Most today’s churches, it is hard for us to hear the words “repent our sins.” Most Sunday messages that we’d hear from the pulpit is on how God can bless us financially. The word “repent” is gone from our vocabulary words.

The Greek definition for the word repent is to change one mind’s for better. In third chapter of the Book of Matthew, we see John was preparing the way for the people to accept as their personal Lord and Savior. It was not enough for John to baptize his people. They’d need to transform their minds to Jesus Christ.

Again, we often seek for the better things of the world, such as houses, jobs, TV, and cars. Yesterday, I read an article on body suit that may enabled the paralyzed to walk. This article was from Jack Van Impe Ministries Newsletter. As I read this article, I have a mixture of good and bad thoughts. I think this advanced technology would be good to those who cannot walk. However, if we'd depend on advanced technologies to assist the people with disabilities, where are our faiths in Jesus Christ? Technology is the key for the Antichrist to rule the world (Revelation 13). If we'd want to receive miracles in our lives, trust and have faith in Jesus Christ. Most people may think I wouldn't receive miracle in physical situation. Miracle is not only related to physical need, but it begins within inside of us.

If we do not depend on God and keep depend on the world system, we are not going to spend eternality with Jesus Christ. Instead, we are heading into Hell. Hell is a burning place that would last for eternality. It is on the center of the earth. We often hear the volcano interruption on the news report. Behind the volcano interruption, there are people who are trapped and crying in the lake of fire (Earth Core) and there are no ways to get out from the place. Most scientists cannot discover deeply into volcano interruption because of the heat inside the volcano. Hell is a real place as there is Heaven.

Do you want transform your life to spend eternality with Jesus Christ? God planned to send His Son, Jesus Christ, to us to pay our sins, so we can have free access to God and develop personal relationship with Him. Would you like to have personal relationship with God? If you’d like to know Jesus Christ as your personal Savior, I’d like to encourage you to do two simple things. First, confess your sins and invite Jesus Christ to your life. Paul said in Romans 10:9-11, “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.” There is no sinner prayer formula. Instead, you just talk to God at where you are now. Secondly, I’d like to encourage you to find a good solid biblical teaching church and Christian friends. They can help you to build strong relationship with God.

Greater Relationship
Topic: Relationship

Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. (John 15:13 KJV)

Do you have a solid foundation of relationship with your spouse? Or with your friends? Or with your neighbor? But, mostly, do you have a strong relationship with Jesus Christ? If your answers are all no, you are not alone.

We all struggle with our relationships. Our lives are not perfect. Romans 3:23 says that we all have sinned and come short of the glory of God. But God has never failed His relationship with us. Even though we have failed our relationship with Him, He has not move away from us. There was and is no one to show us the greater love than Jesus Christ. Romans 5:8 says, “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”

Do you know why are Christian families breaking apart from unity today? They have left their first love with God. This is why we hear some teenagers are addicted to drugs, pornography, witchcraft, and violence. Also, their parents are having financial problems that cause them to separate each other. I do not know what your circumstances are, but God knows.

God does not make you to be a religious person, but He’d like to have an intimate relationship with you. Most today’s preachers do not teach about how we can have a personal relationship with God anymore. They teach us about how we can get more stuff from God. That’s not good. We need to hear more messages on how we can recognize Him and honor Him.

So, here are some suggestions we can try when the crisis would arrive:

  • Do not start to focus on the problem, but focus on God for solution to the problem. God knows every detail to our needs before we’d ask Him.
  • Money issue is not the problem, but our focus on God. We need to change our channels to Him.
  • We need to begin to work the problem in home and not up to church.
  • We need to begin to develop our own relationship with God.

If you want to rebuild your relationship with Jesus Christ, please consider to ask Him to forgive your sins and invite Him in your life. I do not like to give the formula to sinner prayer, because that is between you and God. Then, find a home church that would encourage you and teach solid foundation of the Gospel of Jesus Christ; and begin to have your daily Bible study and prayer habits. Lastly, find some Christian friends who encourage and help you at anytime of the day.

Concept of Friendship with God
Topic: Relationship

Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you. Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you. (John 15:14-15 KJV)

Do you have a long lasting friend in your life? If you have one, that is the greatest value in your life. Proverbs 17:17 says, “A friend loveth at all times, and a brother is born for adversity.” Other scriptures point us that friendship has a great value than any other relationships.

We must understand that being friendship with someone can lead us to marriage, long-lasting friend, and so on. God called Abraham as friend. To be in friendship with God, we must understand that we just cannot be too friendly with Him. Unlike our fiends, He is also our King and Lord. Some churches have misconception on this. God didn’t just call Abraham as friend until He tested his faith.

If God wants us just His friends, we would do the thing what we’d please in our eyes. We can curse at God, for instant. This is why many America churches are fallen from the faith. We just cannot too familiar with God. Instead, we need to understand that He is also our King and Savior.

True Meaning Friendship
Topic: Relationship

Who do we depend on when we would face some difficulties in our personal life? Some of us may depend on family members, church councils, friends, and co-workers. It is good to have somebody to help and encourage you when you are lonely, depressed, sad, and happy in your life situation. King Solomon said, “If one falls down, his friend can help him up.” (Ecclesiastes 5:10a NIV.) Is that a reason to have a friend?

Over the past two years, Kelly, my personal assistant, has been one of my best friends while I have been living my life independently. Although she has a limitation of the Personal Assistant Services Program, Kelly has been willing to take the risk to help me to learn how I can live more independently, such as community outing, job seeking, errands, enrolling in college, and more. She has been faithful and willing to trust me to work on our life problems together.

When one of us may have an awful day, we share the problem and give advice to each other to solve issue. Although she considered as my employee, I considered her as my friend and one of God’s family members. In this case, we have experiences with our lives and have a chance to understand our individual character more as we meet each day.

We may not see this kind of friendship from our work environment because our duties are to maintain the business. Nor do we need to take care of our family. People can find friends if they can see beyond somebody’s physical and inner being of character. To have a friendship with the other person is to have willingness to any situation that he or she may have and help him or her out during the circumstance. A friendship should be willing to take risk, to love, to care, and to have faith in the other person. Not only would that person be willing to take these four qualities to find a friend, he or she should be willing to be with you all the time, no matter what is going on in that person’s life.

Even today, some of us may find having a friend difficult. Sometimes, we may find the person is hard to trust. Trusting a friend is very important to have a friendship in our lives. Is he or she willing to take you through some difficult situations and bring you into the light path? Or is he or she not going to go through some situations with you?

If we have friends that can last long, we receive more health into our souls and physical beings. The only way that we would have unhealthy physical and inner being is not having any fellowship with the other people in the community. I have discovered myself in this situation in the past. But I have gained more health to my physical and spiritual life through development of friendship. When I did not have a friend around me at my apartment, it was depressing and lonely. Sometimes, I had a headache of being lonely. I had not much to do around my apartment except look at the four walls of the house. But when I found a friend, my life has totally changed from depression, sadness, and loneliness to happiness and enjoyment. I have a hope that I can go through any situation with the help from my friend.

Anybody can have a friend, no matter what the person looks like, or his or her sex, or religious background, or where the person came from. You could find some friends in home, community, church, school, or workplace. Do you have some friends in your life? To grow physically and in your inner life is to have friends around you.
