The Word of God II: Warning of Changing God’s Words
Topic: Word of God

For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book. (Revelation 22:18-19 KJV)

We don’t hear often about what would happen if we change God’s Word. Nowadays, we don’t care enough which bible version is considered as the truth to God’s spoken words. We have confused with the original manuscript of the Holy Bible. We can read the NKJV, NIV, NCV, and TLV introductions of the Bible that say they were coming from the original manuscript of Hebrew and Greek words.

Apostle John wrote about the warning of changing God’s Words in Revelation 22:18-19. If we change God’s words from original, we will be looking forward to the wrath of God on us. This sound doesn’t seem good, but it’s true. I, too, am guilty on this. I thought all the Bible versions were considered as God’s Words.

I recommend for you to read the
KJV Bible Information to find why the KJV is considered as the true English Bible version. You will be amazed that why you don’t hear often on this subject. Many preachers use I Timothy 4:1 on the subject of end time prophecy. This is right on subject and it also relates to versions of the Bible.

There are several verses that give us about changing God’s Words as warning. We don’t need to create new version of the Bible for us to understand His Words comfortably. But we need to let the Holy Spirit teaches us to understand the God’s written words.
