Heart Surgery
Topic: Love

A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh. (Ezekiel 36:26 KJV)

Jesus said to the church of the Laodiceans, “I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot (Revelation 3:15).” Is your relationship with God alike the church of the Laodiceans?

God hates to see our lukewarm relationship with Him and people. Because having a lukewarm relationship is like if we are either God’s side or Satan’s and we would be stuck in between which way to the paradise. God will choose our decision if we are in lukewarm relationship and we would end up in hell. Hell is the last place where God doesn’t want to ser us to go for eternity.

Unfortunately, God is willing to give us a new heart—a heart of flesh. The word heart in this verse means mind. Our hearts cannot operate by itself, except our minds. Romans 12:2 says, “And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.”

Why not we can have a stony heart? If we don’t like let the Holy Spirit works in us, there is no way God can have relationship with us. There are many churches that are in lukewarm relationship with God and ended up with a stony heart. It is so sad to see the churches fall into the devil’s hands. I had been into Roman Catholic and United Methodist churches and didn’t feel the presence of the Holy Spirit. Even though they proclaimed to be the churches of Jesus Christ, we cannot keep the other religious rituals come into the churches.

God doesn’t care abut our religious duties or what denominational churches we attend. No! He only cares about us and His relationship with us.
