Battle against the Enemy: Understanding Satan's Strategy (Part VI)
Topic: Spiritual War

"And there was a day when his sons and his daughters were eating and drinking wine in their eldest brother’s house: and there came a messenger unto Job, and said, The oxen were plowing, and the asses feeding beside them: and the Sabeans fell upon them, and took them away; yea, they have slain the servants with the edge of the sword; and I only am escaped alone to tell thee.

"While he was yet speaking, there came also another, and said, The fire of God is fallen from heaven, and hath burned up the sheep, and the servants, and consumed them; and I only am escaped alone to tell thee.

"While he was yet speaking, there came also another, and said, The Chaldeans made out three bands, and fell upon the camels, and have carried them away, yea, and slain the servants with the edge of the sword; and I only am escaped alone to tell thee.

"While he was yet speaking, there came also another, and said, Thy sons and thy daughters were eating and drinking wine in their eldest brother’s house: and, behold, there came a great wind from the wilderness, and smote the four corners of the house, and it fell upon the young men, and they are dead; and I only am escaped alone to tell thee.

"Then Job arose, and rent his mantle, and shaved his head, and fell down upon the ground, and worshipped, and said, Naked came I out of my mother’s womb, and naked shall I return thither: the LORD gave, and the LORD hath taken away; blessed be the name of the LORD. In all this Job sinned not, nor charged God foolishly." (Job 1:13-22 KJV)

When the crisis would arrive, what your respond would be? Would you be panicking? Doubting? Most of us may be feeling distress and trying to work on the problem by ourselves. Let's face it. We just cannot seek counsel until we'd try ourselves first. How you feel when you would wear Job's shoes? You would be miserable and want to kill yourselves.

As we see on today's news, many people want to die for themselves. Why? They may feel like that they don't have purpose of their lives. Mostly, people don't have their personal relationship with the Almighty God. They don't have courage to resist the devil's trap. Jesus said in John 10:10, "The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy…" People may be happy, but they cannot fulfill their satisfaction. They happy to have job and earn money every other week, but money cannot buy happiness. Job could give himself up and decide to commit suicide mission. But he didn't. Instead, Job relied on God. He could curse at God, but he refused to do so.

Most of us may have weakness, but we can overcome our defeat and go for victory. We can rely on Jesus. Hebrews 4:15 says, "For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin."

Are you happy in your life? If not, I like to encourage you to invite Jesus Christ in your life today. He is the only One who can bring the joy in your life. Converting to Christianity is not about joining into the religious group, but having your personal relationship with God through His Son, Jesus Christ. That's what His resurrection all about. His death wasn't the end of the story, but beginning. We need to throw our own selves away by confess our sins to God; and invite Him to your life, so He can show you the way of life that brings you joy.

If you are lukewarm in your relationship with Jesus Christ and want to know Him as your personal Savior and Lord of your life, please consider asking Him to forgive your sins and invite Him into your life. Paul says, "That if you confess with your mouth, `Jesus is Lord,' and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believed and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved." (Romans 10:9-10.) If you have done in your private room or workplace, then you need to tell to your friends or love ones about what you have done, so they may rejoice with you and want to have that relationship with Christ in their own life. There are many occults in the world, which do not know the love of God and His great plan for those who believe in Him. As it is written in John 3:16, "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life."
